Eric is a really great teacher! He is very patient with my 13 year old daughter, a beginner, during her lessons and always seems very supportive and enthusiastic as she slowly progresses from week to week. He is an accomplished musician himself and plays along with her to show her how something should sound. Eric has a nice laid back attitude, is very on target with my daughter's musical tastes and he has a great personality! I am very happy with his teaching methods and we hope to continue her lessons with him for the next few years.

Great instructor. Has a lot of background knowledge, which may be intimdating to some. But he does a good job of identifying strengths and weaknesses upon which to work.

Eric was great. He is obviously very knowledgeable but he is also easy to talk to and seemed to quickly understand what I knew and what I didn't. A good communicator and his set up for the lessons was very comfortable and easy to find. One hour lesson flew by!

Ceste is the musical director for my church choir. I have been singing with the choir for several years. Recently, I started having problems with my singing voice because of spasmotic dysphonia.
I described the problems I was having at my first lesson with her. she gave me some physical exercises to relax the muscles in my shoulder and neck. this helped. then she listened to my singing. Ceste developed vocal exercises based on the physical problems. I was frustrated at first, but using the techniques greatly helped my singing.
I have taken voice lessons before; one of the things that I think is great about Ceste is that not only does she explain the exercise, she illustrates it which makes the lessons much easier to do.
I expect to continue with her in the fall.

Aaron teaches piano to my 8 year old daughter, Abby. She is shy but loves piano and she very much looks forward to his visits! He customizes her lessons to her skill level and interests. No question he is a serious musician, but he is also laid back and funny which is perfect for young kids as it puts them at ease. Abby is thriving under Aaron's instruction, I'm so glad we found him!

Amazing first lesson!! :) I'm a beginner with very little musical experience beyond picking up my violin once in a while, and by the end of our 45 minutes Marilyn had me playing a couple of different rhythms and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She covered the bow hold and how to position the violin, where your fingers should be -- all the essential basics you would expect to learn at a first lesson. She was super, super nice and great to talk with! If you have any questions, she's happy to answer them, and it was just all around a great experience. The time went by so fast -- 45 minutes felt like 15 minutes! Can't wait for our next one!

Our 8 year old son, Ben, takes violin with Mrs. Taylor once a week. He loves the time with her & she is wonderful with him. Disciplined, but fun and always encouraging. She is so talented, which is inspiring for Ben. She is also very accommodating when our schedule gets hectic, which happens from time to time with two busy kids!

I have been playing horn for eight years, and am currently studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM). When I was in high school, I auditioned and was accepted to various youth orchestra and wind symphonies throughout Northeast Ohio, including the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the Akron Youth Symphony, the Canton Youth Synohony, and the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony, so I am very familiar with regional youth orchestras!

At CIM I am a part of many ensembles, including Orchestra, Brass Chamber, and Woodwind Chamber. Twice, I won a scholarship from the Musical Arts Society as well as a Concerto Competition in high school through the Akron Youth Symphony. I have studied and am currently studying with members of the Cleveland Orchestra as well as the Akron Symphony and Canton Symphony Orchestra.
