We study baroque, classical, and romantic period music, pop, jazz, blues, music theory, and technique all rolled into one piano lesson as students progress.
Everyone studies piano for different reasons! I'm happy to guide my students along whatever their path may be.

While teaching classical piano, I always try to incorporate the material that students like the most: Holiday songs, Broadway melodies and favorite cartoon songs. All of this definitely adds to the enjoyment of learning how to play. Besides having two recitals a year, I encourage students to play in front of their peers at school, to always play for their families and to participate in various competitions and festivals around the St.Louis area.

I have been teaching professional piano lessons for 13 years. I am educated in Classical and Jazz Piano. Classical has taught me the structure and fundamentals of piano while Jazz has shown me how to improvise and play with other musicians.

I customize lesson plans to fit individual learning styles of students while incorporating songs the student picks. I have taught songs from Disney, Movie Soundtracks, Video Game Soundtracks, Pop and Rock artists and more. I also assist in Student Showcases which allows me to show my students how to play along with other musicians. Music is a big part of my life and I hope that I can pass on that joy to each of my students.

My youngest piano student is 3 and is doing incredibly well! My oldest student was 78 and had always wanted to learn to play. I can help you with your piano goals from beginner to advanced, from the basics of reading music and playing a song for your family to performance auditions and everything in between.
I use a number of methods, however, I am open to help you learn through a method of your choice if you have one you enjoy. I will guarantee to having you play a familiar song within one month!
