Customized to each student. If the student has not previously taken lessons I use Piano Adventures as the basic course guide. I have found it the most productive and enjoyable for my students. I uses a minimum of the Lesson and Theory book for my younger students with either the basic course or Accelerated course depending on their age and maturity. Adults begin with the All In one adult book. I add the other books that accompany each level based on the particular students needs and interests. I believe that a good grounding in Theory is essential as a student who becomes proficient in sight reading, no matter how well he/she plays by ear, will find that the doors for lifetime musical fulfillment with be much wider. However, with a student who has already had some lessons I will be happy to continue with any method that the student is currently using.

My piano lessons are customized to meet your specific musical goals, and whether you are an adult wanting to take lessons for the first time, or a teen aspiring to make music your full-time career, I am excited to help you achieve success on the piano. My lessons are rooted in classical training, and I incorporate many contemporary techniques including piano improvisation and playing by ear.

I've been teaching Piano for 10 years now. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to identify the notes of the piano and be able to play many easy songs. And as time goes on you'll be able to play more complex songs with both hands. I specialize in Classical, Church and Broadway, typically use Faber and Faber for kids and Alfred books for adults. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I have been teaching piano for over 15 years and helped a lot of students to get their piano skills polished. My teaching method is based on Russian classical school and I am happy to share it with everybody who is interested.
