I am a well-rounded drum teacher, meaning I have learned and studied genres ranging from blues, jazz, rock and indie rock. I will give you tons of music to listen to and interpret and teach you how to learn tunes by ear. You will understand the forms of jazz tunes such as aaba Aba and abc. You will learn how to play the tunes you listen to and take the concepts of drum beats and drum rudiments used within them o make them your own and use them in your original playing. I also teach how to read standard drum notation, and can teach you how time signatures work and the values of notes if you don’t already know.

About Eli

Hi future students! I’m Eli. I know how tough it is to teach yourself an instrument, because I struggled with it for years and years. One of my biggest issues was learning how to practice, so if that’s something you struggle with, I can certainly help you develop a routine to which you would follow

After his first session, my son (10 years old) said Eli was, "really nice." They reviewed a lot, Eli asked a lot of questions about previous experiences and and listened to him play. Sounds like it was a packed session but not overwhelming.

I firmly believe that anyone can learn to sing beautifully. This is possible without a five-octave vocal range. Using the music that you love, I can teach you to sing the way you feel.

A former student of renowned voice teacher Taras V. Leschishin (of the Cleveland Opera Company, Boston Pops, and the Handel and Haydn Society), I can lead you to the threshold of your own mind.

About Patrick

As a singer, bassist, pianist, and composer, my approach to music education is unlike anyone else's. I have performed at the Hard Rock Cafe and recorded with a wide variety of artists. We are so thankful we found Patrick! Patrick is a very effective teacher who’s able to relate and motivate students. Our daughter was loosing interest in playing piano due to her former teacher’s approach. Now she’s back to practicing because she wants to and is so excited to see Patrick each week. We are very greatful that she’s back to loving piano and continuing to learn.
Eric
Patrick is a great teacher, and very patient. I've never learned how to sing or read music before, and he teaches at a pace that's good for me. I highly recommend him whether you're an adult or you're considering enrolling your child.

I have developed a natural teaching method that focuses on learning and understanding the building blocks of drum set playing, familiarizing and connecting these building blocks, and applying them to individual expression. I have the ability to take nearly anyone without prior drum set or rhythmic experience, and, within days, turn them into beat playing drummers! My approach focuses on:
-building an understanding and relationship with each drum
-the basic rudimentary foundation of drumming
-how to approach the drums, hold the sticks, set up the drums, and tune the drums
-basic mechanical techniques
-development of each limb
-learning how to read basic drum charts and play to them
-learning and playing the most significant beats and patterns in the history of drum set
-gaining the ability to effectively teach oneself how to improve as a drummer
-learning your favorite songs on drums
-how to play in a band

"Overall I had a great experience

I think Tim is a great instructor. He clearly sees my enthusiasm and also my limits. He pushes me to learn faster. I really enjoy his way of teaching. It is great that he treats me as a student while teaching new things, and later as a colleague while I am practicing (for instance he plas the duets with me)"
