Have you ever wondered what makes your favorite music "work"? Are you interested in getting prepared for college music programs? Then studying music theory is for you! I provide students with an intuitive but thorough grounding in traditional Western music theory, my area of expertise, while encouraging students to explore the ways in which practitioners think and write about their musical experiences in other genres and cultural settings.

When I teach, I strive to help students learn the most efficient practice methods and to develop a healthy attitude towards learning music. Your progression on the instrument is what will take you to the next step. Either playing solo and chamber and orchestra have the same core values: beautiful tone production, fine intonation, pure rhythm, expressive playing, knowledge of musical styles, acute listening, excellent ensemble skills. If you study with me, I will help you master these concepts and techniques at your own pace and help you find your own musical voice through playing the viola/piano.

We're gonna play some grooves and HAVE FUN! I'm a professional musician and have been a performing bassist for over 20 years, and I hope to pass along some of my knowledge and expertise to you. I customize your lessons to your needs and what you want to do with your ability to play bass. I can prepare you for any genre as I include fundamentals (for example, scales and arpeggios) in your practice. I use these books for reference and/or lesson work:
- Hal Leonard's Bass Method-Books 1, 2 & 3 (Ed Friedland)
- Mel Bay's Deluxe Jazz & Rock Bass Method (Vincent Bredice)
I can help you learn how to play with a pick, how to "slap & pluck," how to sing and play simultaneously, and even how to sightread.

Hey there!
My passions are technique and accuracy; by perfecting technique comes a deeper understanding of theory. I have lots of teaching methods that will encourage you to play your favorite songs and styles with the sounds you like.
I'll focus on the very basics of guitar theory in order to get to a higher level of understanding music theory.
I will challenge you! We will have lots of fun and you will see, hear, and feel your own improvements with my teachings.

I offer my flute students of all ages and levels inspiring and interesting lessons based on classical repertoire, exercises and studies from from the Western European traditions of mostly the French school of flute playing, but also borrowing from the English and German traditions.

I work with my students to develop and improve tone quality and pitch control. I guide them through Moyse, De La Sonorite, and Trevor Wye's Practice Book 1 on Tone and note bending exercises. While guiding my students through exercises, etudes and pieces, I strive to sharpen their listening skills by drawing their attention to fuzzy tone, faulty pitch, uneven fingers etc. I use tuners and metronomes in my lessons to encourage these skills and to teach my students how to practice to get great results.
