As a composer of new music, it is essential to support the local community of musicians through lessons which support individual interests and patiently encourage progress at every level. I teach all ages and can work with any level of skill in terms of instrument ability, music theory, or music engraving. If you sing, play an instrument, or are interested in the manipulation of sound: composition lessons are for you!
In a typical lesson we will begin to develop a new project or analyze a work in progress. Students can expect composition games and exercises with pen and paper for each lesson. If you have Engraving/DAW software like Finale, Sibelius, Ableton, or Logic we will utilize that for games and projects. Helping each student develop their compositional style while increasing their knowledge of music theory, improvisation, and engraving skills are my main goals.
Whether you would like to increase your music theory knowledge, learn how to write music, arrange a

I am an experienced Vocal Instructor. I have trained singers of all ages including: elementary, middle school, high school and adults. I was musically trained at the University of California Riverside. While studying there I was a soloist/vocalist for the Andean and Mariachi Ensembles; also I was a choir member of the Choral Society. Further I played several instruments in the Gamelan, Taiko, and Rondalla Ensembles at UCR. I am patient and enjoy the challenge of working with different personalities and backgrounds. I am bi-lingual in Spanish.
As a soloist and teacher I have sung and taught many different genres. I don't believe in forcing a specific genre on my students. We work together to find songs that will help them grow while having fun. I love to see my students grow in technique and ability. When I hear their range grow as well

My love of music started at the young age of 6 with piano lessons. My parents always said, "piano lessons were the best investment they ever made." Because of their investment it took me through my growing up years playing piano and singing at church and school then into college with a music major.

Guitar lessons with me are unique because although I am young, I am a very experienced teacher already. I started learning guitar at 10 years old. By the time I was 16 I was gigging and teaching kids in my neighborhood and any Craigslist clients I could find. At 18, I took a 1.5 year program at the Los Angeles College of Music, where I graduated with an AA in guitar performance. Since then I have worked as a professional musician, and also as a teacher /consultant with Adopt the Arts, a non profit started by Matt Sorum (drummer of Guns N Roses, Hollywood Vampires) and director Abby Berman. In my time at Adopt the Arts I have amassed over 4000 teaching hours of teaching kids ages 4-13, so I am very experienced with kids and get along with them great since. I have also been giving other private lessons to people of all ages since 2011. Qualities that make me stand out as a teacher are relatability, patience, and an ability to identify the proper pace for the student to enjoy the ...

I was raised in the Suzuki method, trained in it, and I believe in it. It is the most effective school of education for new musicians who want to learn reliably. I've been teaching it 9 years.
I can talk to you for days about the method, but I will sum it up as quickly as i can.
2: Daily Practice
4: Strong relationship between student, teacher and parent.
If the student listens everyday, practices everyday, practices what i tell them, and is made to love the music, you will learn. I've taught hundreds of students this way and when all the conditions are met, all my students have had success.
Piano lessons are structured with a focus on what the student needs. I love the incentives he gives, as well. This means that when you play "perfectly", he offers to accompany you with his guitar. When this happens for me, I feel like I am an accomplished pianist. I cannot wait for lessons every week. He and his wife are both absolute joys to be around in general!"
the on-line class is great! Eric J made learning the bass guitar easy. he is awesome and he is very patient. cant wait for the next class!"
There's an advantage learning from someone who is actually paid to perform music. Get the perspective and tricks of the trade to sound good quickly. He plays the range from rock to standard classical fare like Tarrega and Bach.
He teaches using tab and regular notation which really gets you up to speed quickly on any piece. My previous guitar teachers didn't use tab so learning anything is a slog. I've already learned Lagrima, Bach's Air, Bach's Bourree, Romanza, Recuerdos de la Alhambra and Tears in Heaven in a relatively short time.
Jesse observes your fingerings very well and makes sure you use the most efficient methods.
Flexibility of scheduling was extremely important to me since I cannot be on a regular weekly schedule. Take Lessons and Jesse's flexible schedule makes that very easy."
Our kids enjoy learning with her and look forward to each class."
