On our first lessons, a full vocal evaluation will be completed to see what exactly we need to work on developmental wise and customize a long and short term plan for best results.

About Danny
Danny is a recording artist, singer, published songwriter and motivational speaker. Danny has to work in professional acting, singing with various local bands, improvisation live, acapella groups.

Danny has been vocal coaching since 1999 and has learned that the best way to develop a voice is by isolating a vocalists range and working as a team to strengthen what needs developmental work and also reinforcing long-term knowledge of longevity.

There is no one size fits all. Each student has a custom plan developed on day one with timelines and short/long-term goals. Think of it as personal training, but for the voice. There are areas to think about;

-Blending
-Range
-Control
-Riffs and Runs
-Multiple registers and how to use each one
-Vocal mixing
-Twang
Each technique can be demonstrated and taught by your instructor in
a gradual progression.

These classes are best suited for students who are goal-oriented and will be will be ok with a tailored customed lesson plan designed to help you reach your developmental short and long-term goals which we will plan together in our first class.

This was a great lesson. He knows his stuff and can really develop a person. I did 20 minute lessons to start, but honestly the more time you can the better. He taught me way more than I expected I could learn, but I could tell there's so much more he can do with more time. My lesson was as long as it took to drive there but it was worth it even for how short it was. I'm doing longer next time for sure.
Danny's really great to work with. He's very skilled and I'm glad he's teaching what he knows because I'm pretty sure he keeps himself busy with a lot of projects. I highly recommend lessons with Danny. It's fun and comfortable because he's a great person and funny and easy to be around even if you haven't taking any lessons on singing.

Danny came to our house and did lessons for my son in our living room. My son used to take group classes with Danny at a Network for Young Artists, a non-profit but since we moved out of that area, we needed more one on one time. My son has improved in confidence, singing has gotten better. He even sang at a family birthday party for his little sister and even did a speech. I would have never imagined that type of confidence.

I found Zach through 'take lessons' after my daughter had a few years with an intense classical pianist. I want my daughter to have fun and appreciate music and not feel the intense pressure she was feeling with our previous instructor. Zach was the perfect choice. My daughter loves her lessons. Zach does take time off for his professional endevors. Good for him. He has always let us know and connected with us when he returns.

Classical technique is what I teach. Including breathing placement and musicianship. However that does not mean that I try to turn all my students into opera singers. The truth is you can utilize the classical technique in any genre of music. Trust me it will make a difference in your singing. I would be happy to discuss my methods in more detail. Thank you.

Excellent instructor with an emphasis on proper breathing and technique. He is incredibly knowledgeable and conveys tips about vocal placement and breath control in a way that "clicks" with me. I'm an experienced classically trained singer who was looking for a professional to help me refine my instrument and correct some technique issues. Our 10 yr old son's piano lessons with Nicolette have been great. She is very patient, supportive, and positive in her teaching style. My son is progressing well since starting his lessons. Nicolette is always very punctual and gets right down to business. The 45 minute lessons are fully utilized and all the activities are relevant and value-added...no idle time at all. I love to sing, and so should you! In our singing lessons, I like to make the lesson specific to your individual needs and goals. We start with warm ups, focus on different techniques and styles, breathing/breath control, song choice, performance, and more!

About Brianna
Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a graduate of North Central College with a BA in Music (Emphasis in Composition and Percussion) and a minor in History. I absolutely love music, every single aspect of it. I love to make music a part of everybody's lives who want and need it. I want to help you with your musical needs. I have been playing percussion for 19 years, singing for 25, and playing piano for 20 years. I was a member of a recording and performing Chicago band, Oblio and Arrow, where I provided backing vocals and helped with the song arrangements. I am currently a member of Trip City Lights, an LA local funk/soul band, where I provide lead and backing vocals. I also record vocals for different artists hooks, jingles, choruses, and songs (covers and originals). I have also composed/arranged various pieces for ensembles, bands, vocal groups, choirs,
plays, musicals, commercials, etc. I've worked with folks locally in LA, and all over the world. I love what I do!

History has always fascinated me. The way our world has developed and changed and continues to evolve is amazing. Everything can be tied back to the past, and I feel it's important to take a look back, put yourself in that time, and really study how things were to help understand why things are the way they are now.

Crocheting and knitting are a couple of good habits/hobbies I picked up about 10 years ago. I sell scarves online and I'm always working on some sort of project. I will have you knitting and pearling with the best of them!

Music, history, crochet, and knitting....I'm your girl!

JdC Voice is a singularly run vocal studio in Brooklyn, New York. It's founder, Jenisa de Castro, is passionate about teaching singing techniques that strive towards discovering the unknown. Each voice is different, and unique, and it is our job to uncover the mystery and fly beyond what we think we are capable of.

As a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a major in Drama, Jenisa has discovered much about her own voice, and has continued to study and explore with renowned vocal instructors such as Seth Riggs, Michael Goodrich, and her own father, Gregg de Castro.

JdC Voice is dedicated to providing quality lessons for any age that guarantee optimal growth and success in singing in any style. We are proud to offer a space that is patient, kind, but most importantly, fun!

About JdC
Please contact JdC Voice for availability.

Founder, Jenisa de Castro began vocal and dance lessons when she was only six years old, becoming a professional Polynesian performer at the age of 12. She quickly became entranced with the world of theater and film and discovered that nothing provides the spiritual fulfillment that comes with exploring the life of someone else, experiencing the world through their unique perspective, if only for a short while. After four rigorous years at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a degree in drama, she found that, in addition to theater and film, there is personal fulfillment in any form of art, as long as you invest your whole self into the process. This discovery led Jenisa back to where she started: a small voice studio - but, now Jenisa assumes the role of teacher, eager to share her
gifts and insights with students of her own.

Jenisa is enthralled and inspired by the sheer amount of different voices that come to her, as well as the unique abilities of each student. She believes that learning from her students is an integral aspect of being an effective teacher and discovers more about humanity, as well as herself and her own voice, with each student she has the privilege of working alongside. Jenisa is eager to teach others, both in building a solid technical foundation, as well as to share the joy and fulfillment that she, herself, feels when she sings from within.
