Mostly I work with singers in the recording studio to help them find themselves - their style - their voice - their sound - who they are.
What are you saying? Why are you singing it that way? Is that how you want to sound? Is that who you want to be?... etc. I'm not a vocal coach for teaching you technique - I work more on helping you develop a style for recording studio.

About Billy

I teach my students how to understand how music is put together so they can learn even more on their own. I read, write, and play all styles and I focus on teaching the student fundamentals that work in all styles of music ....AND I get them going on the style they are interested in - pop, rock,

I teach Voice from the perspective of a modern musician and songwriter. I want to make sure you are relaxed and having fun in our lessons and pursuing the style of music that resonates with you. In voice lessons with me, I will help to coach you through techniques to improve your vocal tone, range and agility. We will learn about proper breath control, healthy vocal technique, and how to correct various vocal pitfalls that might be holding you back. We will do this through the application of vocal exercises and by working our way through the individual needs of our chosen songs. My lessons are driven by my students taste in music rather than my own, so we will always be singing the songs that you love!

About Loralee

Loralee began exploring music at a very young age, as part of a musical household. She enrolled in flute lessons at the age of 4, giving her solid roots in music theory and an appreciation for classical music. Her flute lessons later led her to take part in marching band and numerous musical ensemb

In my singing career, I have benefited tremendously from instruction by teachers who perform professionally. I want to help my students develop their vocal ability by meeting them where they are and applying the lessons I have learned from practical experience as well as from what I have been taught. My goal is to equip students with the skills so that they can develop a reliable technique that works under all situations.

In 2013, I began singing professionally in principal roles with major opera companies (with regular appearances at Dallas Opera) and as a soloist with orchestras across the United States. I was an Adler Fellow with San Francisco Opera from 2011-2012. I received my Artist Diploma in Opera Performance from the Academy of Vocal Arts, my M.M. in Voice Performance from Boston University and my B.M. in Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College.

About Ryan

In 2011, I began singing professionally in principal roles with major opera companies and as a soloist with orchestras across the United States. My specialty is voice training. Vocal coaching can only present a positive effect on the voice. Many people who sing have a natural talent but with enough wear and tear on the vocal chords, it can be damaged also. Certain damages come in the form of nodule (pronounced nodes) or polyps, these are puss inflamed irritations that develop due to misuse of the voice caused by screaming, singing strictly from the chest without the use of head tones, just to mention a few.
Piano is one of the best percussion instrument learned by the vocalist. Its clarity of tonality helps to correct aural sound non-comprehension.

About LaTishia

LaTishia has 19 years of experience in the field of management in entertainment, program coordinating and vocal/piano coaching. For almost a year, Sarah has been my piano teacher. She is encouraging, patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about my improvement. She never rushes a lesson and always takes the time to fully answer any questions I have. I have recommended her to several of my friends and co-workers, and I will continue to do so. Having a teacher who is just as pleased with my accomplishments as I am is refreshing and appreciated. If you are looking for someone to encourage you and teach you, look no further than Sarah!

"As mostly a backing vocalist in my band, I needed a teacher who could take me from an intermediate level to advanced. The result is the lead singer noticing my improvements to the extent that more lead vocal parts are now being assigned to me. Sergio is patient and non-judgmental, creating a space to start wherever I am at the time and climb the ladder of skill at my own pace. His astonishing insights of the areas I was struggling with helped me laser in on them. So glad I went weekly with him for three months of improvement that would have taking me years on my own or with marginally helpful Youtubes. Go pro! Go Sergio!"

"Eric is an awesome teacher. Intuitive and patient. My vocal skill and range is improved notably with his help. He can also adjust the lesson depending on the individual and make it customizable. Additionally, he's musical skill is comprehensive, and I can also ask him questions about guitar. Eric usually records every lesson with him which is perfect for later reference and practice. Would recommend him for anyone who's interested in music."

"Francesca is extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and an all-around excellent teacher. She was recommended to me by my guitar teacher, who is an accomplished singer-songwriter with a great voice for both lead vocals and harmonies. Even though I loved her (my guitar teacher's) voice already, I was able to hear improvements due to her lessons with Francesca. I would therefore highly recommend Francesca for both experienced singers that want to be even better, as well as for beginners such as myself."

Find Your Voice With Dallas Singing Lessons!

By Matt B. - Dallas Voice Teacher

Everyone has their own voice and whether we realize it or not, nearly all of us strive to find and develop it. Whether our voice is quite literally a speaking voice, or whether it is expressed through career, lifestyle, or relationships with friends and family, chances are that we have found a vocation and endeavored to grow with and through it at some point in our lives. Our voice is the biggest part of who we are for one simple reason: it identifies our unique, individual character, and allows us to share that with the world.

Teaching singing lessons in Dallas has been a wonderful experience. With historic areas and venues like Deep Ellum and the Meyerson Theatre nearby, as well as the eclectic and quaint Granada Theatre, and charming live music venues such as St. Martin's Wine Bistro and Arthur's Restaurant, the Dallas/Fort Worth area is overflowing with creativity and original talent. Not far away, the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth is home to the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and the city is home to the wonderful man, founder and superstar himself, Van Cliburn. Other noteworthy musicians who launched their careers from the rich recesses of Deep Ellum's unique culture scene include Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter and Bessie Smith.

One of our main goals as TakeLessons teachers is to help students grow. We teach students not only to find their voice, but to develop and refine their methods of expression. Every single individual I have worked with personally has expressed to me the positive effect that their voice lessons have had on their lives, sometimes in unexpected and amazing ways! Whether you are an experienced performer or have never taken a music lesson in your life, we at TakeLessons will find the right teacher for you and help you to reach your dreams through positive effort and encouragement.

Aristotle once said, "What we have to learn to do, we learn by doing." I encourage you take Dallas singing lessons to find your voice and with it the immense freedom, confidence, and personal growth that will accompany it. Find the voice that is yours and yours alone, and share it with the world!

Review: A Must-Have Resource for Classical Singers

Classical singers, listen up! Here's a resource you absolutely shouldn't miss, reviewed by voice teacher Molly R...   If you teach classical voice, you are probably aware that one of the biggest challenges is accompaniment! We can fake our way through standards and simpler Disney tunes for our other students, but this is not usually the case when it comes to Mozart or Verdi. And if you are a classical soloist, it’s every bit as frustrating. It can get very costly to hire an acc …
