About Marissa

My musical journey started in high school when my algebra teacher saw me in the hallway, grabbed my hand and brought me to the choir room to sign up for The Sound of Music auditions. To this day I cannot believe my math teacher unknowingly sent me straight down a path that I would walk the rest of

Marissa is a wonderful teacher. I have never had singing lessons before. My first experience was remarkable. I love how comfortable she makes me feel when I go to practice. She has so much patience, which is another thing I love about her. I would refer the world to her if I could. I will definitely be referring my cousin.

Singing of all kinds begins with healthy vocal technique. Learning the correct warming up and use of the voice and breath is essential for a career in singing with any longevity. I use a combination of classical (bel canto) and contemporary styles of singing to bring out the best in each student's voice. My work with world renowned Vocal Instructor Jeanne LoVetri, has increased my proficiency in helping students with many kinds of vocal issues, at all levels of experience. We will work on breathing, range, voice blending, resonance, flexibility, projection and articulation. I am excellent at diagnosing and resolving vocal issues, as well as teaching students to connect to their material and sing with ease and expression.

About Wendy

I've been teaching private vocal instruction since 2003, and opened my own studio in 2008. I love helping people find their true, authentic voice, which I feel is essential not only for singers but many other people as well! Singing is a great joy, and the voice is one of our primary modes of expre

Kim is incredibly knowledgeable in all genres/ styles of voice. I was fairly nervous to begin my singing journey in my 20s. However, Kim’s patience and encouragement really helped me to break out of my shell. She encouraged me to push myself and try new things. This really paid off. I learned a lot of warm ups, techniques, and songs. She truly cares about her students. She also emailed me a detailed note after each lesson summarizing what we worked on, and reminded me what I should practice. I hope to take my newfound instrument with me to an open mic night soon!
Tracy
Kim was my singing teacher for a few months before I went to college. As an excellent and knowledgeable singer herself, she always had the right input and guidance on anything I wanted to sing. Lessons felt self guided and relaxed, which helped me come out of my shell to do my own performances.
Francesca
Highly recommended! The singing and performance instruction I have received has exceeded my expectations. Kim is an amazing vocal coach and positively encouraging. I've learned so much about my voice, stage presence and importance of telling a story. Whatever your genre Kim makes music fun. Pure joy!

I am a modern voice instructor in that not only do I have the experience and education to teach singing, I also am equipped with today's tools of writing, recording, and production. I find that many of my students today not only want to sing but also want to learn how to share their voice. What separates me from other voice teachers is that I am able to start with a student from the ground floor with technique then help them discover their artistry then help them share it with the world. Whether they want to sing at a music venue, become a YouTube musician, sing on a TV show, or learn to create their own songs at a pro level, I can take their musical journey full circle.

"Skilled musician, awesome teacher

I'm in my early 20's, and have been taking vocal lessons with Jesse for a few months. I started with zero singing experience. Jesse is a talented, patient, and attentive teacher. I have learned a lot from him, have learned specific vocal exercises, and have gotten lots of useful pointers based on my singing. I would highly recommend Jesse to anyone that wants to learn to sing."

"In the summer of 2017, I had the pleasure of attending a handful of youth musicals at the Georgetown Palace Theatre (Austin, TX area). As a theatre major, after having viewed these shows it was evident to me that the team which helped put them together really knew their stuff, and that in particular music director Mr. Anthony had gone above and beyond to make these shows something special. I spoke with him a little about the rehearsal process and was amazed to learn not only that he had taught the kids all of the music in only two weeks, but that he was only a seasonal staff member there for the summer programs and was essentially fresh out of college. Mr. Anthony’s professional presence and expertise would lead one to believe he was a tenured staff member at the Palace. Additionally, my childcare background allows me to appreciate how difficult it can be to get 20+ kids still, quiet and paying attention all at once. Mr. Anthony did that, AND taught them an entire musical soundtrack in a period of only two weeks, and when show time came the kids knew what lyrics and notes to sing for their solos! I still remember, after having rehearsed the same songs in music class for months in grade school, having to sing under my breath in the middle of a song and follow along with the rest of the choir because I STILL didn’t have the words memorized! Maybe that’s just me? Either way, whatever Mr. Anthony is doing, it works. Oh, and the kids were crazy about him!

The Palace Theatre found a real gem in Mr. Anthony this summer and I hope his excellent work continues to inspire! He is so passionate about his work and cares about his clients’ success. He is great with kids, they will have tons of fun learning from him. If you or your child are looking for a top-notch teacher, look no further!"

"Ms. Fawn not only has a very good technical skills on voice but also have a very good personality that can ignite and motivate the kids to learn based on the kid's personalities.

My daughter has a very good experience in Ms. Fawn class. Ms. Fawn always can point precisely what wrong and what is the right way to sing in each class. Ms. Fawn works around with my daughter's personality and make my daughter to learn in a way she really enjoy to learn. "It was hard to pick a lesson type, because in the four or five months I worked with Tim, I learned a lot about music theory and performing, and I'm very sad to have to take a break from my lessons.

Due to scheduling conflicts at my job, I am putting my vocal lessons on hold, and I couldn't be more bummed about it. Tim is friendly, patient, professional and seems to be able to tailor his teaching style to his students. He is encouraging, but also knows how to give constructive criticism without demoralizing his more A-type students (me). I have learned so much from him already, and I truly hope I am able to come back in the future.

Literally cannot recommend him more highly. I haven't had a more competent and inspiring teacher - for anything - in years."
