Andrew is a fantastic teacher and very enthusiastic about helping his students achieve their goals and dreams. He incorporates a lot of different activities that allow the information that is taught to be retained. He is bold in being willing to go outside of the box and is really great about tailoring lessons for each student to their learning style and development. Probably the biggest blessing as having Andrew as a music instructor is experiencing his humbleness in believing that each one of his students is already a professional and how thankful and joyful he is to be a part of our musical development.+ Read More

I'm usually very skeptical about reviews, but thought I would give Andrew a try. I signed my son up for piano lessons with Andrew, and I want to say that every good review written about Andrew was true and correct. Andrew showed amazing patience with my son and made the lessons fun and exciting. His passion, creativity, and excitement for music shows every time you meet with him. His knowledge of the subject and teaching skills are evident in the results shown forth in the progress of his students. I can verify through this experience that he's the real deal and knows his stuff. I don't have to drag my son to lessons, because he's always excited about going to learn new things from Mr. Andrew. I catch my son playing the piano on his own at home and composing songs at the age of 5. I would recommend anyone to go to Andrew Young for lessons whether you're a child, an adult, or have special needs. I am confident you will also enjoy the experience and learning you will gain from this amazing and talented man. Way to go, Andrew, you have my vote! :)+ Read More

Andrew has been a key part of our worship team at Faith Community Church for over 10 years. He is always a delight to work with and is able to connect with others on a positive personal level.
Andrew's skill level is unmatched and when you couple that with his heart for music and people, his enthusiasm is contagious. If you spend anytime with Andrew, be prepared to catch his passion.
I have had the pleasure of experiencing Andrew's work with special needs individuals and can attest that he has patience and the skills necessary to teach anybody the wealth of knowledge that he has. He is a very generous, patient, and wholesome individual who appears to live for music. He has a very good voice and great skill with the piano.
I have also experienced one of Andrews recital's. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was one of the impressive performances that I have seen in a long time. They had so much attention to detail that everyone even received a golden ticket! I wish my music lessons were was exciting and fun as Andrews.
I have a self taught singer for a long time until I found Andrew on take lessons and I couldn't be more glad that I did. Andrew came off as warm as a person but also talented and all rounded as a musician. He isn't grounded to teaching broadway or theater but approaches singing in a wholesome and interesting manner. Although we have only been working for a little over a month now Andrew has always been very supportive since day and I'm slowly starting to learn how to like how my voice sounds. Andrew would make sure my voice is properly warmed up at the beginning of every single lesson and his lessons tackle/pinpoint exactly what needed to be worked on in regard to my strengths/weaknesses. Also, I've never had any problems on scheduling with Andrew. He'd always find time for his students and try to make it work for whoever has a busy a schedule. Andrew is an amazing singer who has total control of his voice and would floor you with the things that he can do with his instrument and he's even better as a teacher who doesn't mind sharing his knowledge with you. He has total control of his instrument and isn't afraid to share his knowledge with you. If you're looking to improve yourself as a pop/rock/rnb or just about anything, Andrew would be a great choice for you.+ Read More

Andrew is extremely talented and knowledgeable. He is continually researching new methods to help me improve my working theory knowledge and musical skills. He is always providing me with challenging objectives that help me grow as a musician. He never makes me feel like I'm not doing well but instead is incredibly professional, fun, and supportive and helps me work through difficult pieces.
His lessons are meticulously tailor-made to fit the student. I started out desiring to improve my vocal skills but later asked Andrew to incorporate some advanced piano skills along with my vocal lessons. Since then, he has developed unique lesson plans to include singing and playing piano together and even composing and performing my own unique songs.
As far as scheduling, Andrew has been very flexible and understanding. It seems like every other week, my schedule changes and Andrew has been able to flex and meet with me at varying times.
Overall, it is clear that Andrew's focus is all about helping his students develop confidence and be the best that they can be. He always asks about my personal life with genuine interest and is engaged during conversation. I have never taken formal vocal lessons before and was not sure what to expect. I would recommend him to new students of all ages and levels. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I've been learning from Andrew for a few months now, and I honestly couldn't be happier. He's been very patient and It's very obvious that he's not just doing it for the money, but that he genuinely cares. I've been going through things in my Personal life and he's been very helpful and supportive when he didn't have to be.
His musical knowledge is very impressive. He's taught me to sing everything from musicals to heavy metal.
I'm also learning to play the piano from Andrew. He has great methods. He makes it fun, which helps a lot. He always asks for input and never forces me to do anything I'm not comfortable with.
All in all, Andrew is a great teacher, but an even better guy. I'm entirely satisfied and have gained a friend as well. I couldn't be happier, and would recommend him to anyone, regardless of the style of music they want to learn.
