You want to take singing lessons! The most important thing now is that you get a great teacher. Steven B is a professional voice teacher of over 25 years, has taught hundreds of students, is an outstanding teacher, and that’s why all his students give Five Star reviews. He teaches most ages, beginners through professional levels. Complete beginners are welcome. The teacher Steven B intersects methodologies of Bel Canto, Alexander's technique, and the secrets of singing. By the way, Alexander’s technique can bring back to health a damaged speaking voice, as well as keeping the singer’s voice sound and pain free. Broken down, singing involves three areas: mind, technique, and performance. There are many technical concepts to train in singing. From vowel shapes, to understanding consonants, to landing gently on high notes. Great technique leads to great expression. Steven B is skilled in preparing a student for an audition or performance. The chief purpose of singing is to bring oneself ...

Lessons are fun. My philosophy is that students should have music in their lives and benefit from the lessons they take now for years to come. Learning music will help students with math skills, study habits, and develop a skill that will last for a lifetime.

After 3 months students will understand the fundamentals of their voice, warm up properly, be able to read and sing introductory passages. After 6 months the student will have learned basic music theory, how to read music, and have advanced through singing multiple songs.

About Betsy

Music is the biggest passion in my life. I love being able to share that gift with my students, and look forward to their progress as much as my own. I continue to grow and develop as a musician, and love connecting with people through music. My students all learn to love and appreciate music, t

Ms. Judy is a patient, friendly, and an encouraging instructor. My six year old has enjoyed her lessons and have complimented Judy’s encouraging teaching style. We had an in person local instructor, but due to the pandemic she was not able to resume teaching lessons. Judy conducted an assessment and began where the other instructor ended without missing a beat! I am grateful for her sharing her gift and talent with my child.

Angela is extremely knowledgeable in all things voice and instrument. She is very talented in both singing and teaching. I took voice lessons from her & I can say I learned so much about technique, breathing, & how to care for my vocals. Angela taught me to embrace my range & love my voice. She is a great teacher I would recommend her to anyone that wants to learn more in this area.

I have a passion for teaching people to sing to the best of their ability with the instrument they have been given! I want to teach others to sing like THEM, not like someone else or in a certain style, but to unlock their potential! There aren't shortcuts, but we can be relaxed, comfortable, and laugh on the journey to improvement! This is first and foremost a safe space to make mistakes and learn the correct way to use our bodies to sing. I have a bachelor's degree in music and performance from the University of North Georgia and have been teaching lessons for over eight years with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am excited to share what I have learned to help YOU sing to the best of your ability!

Easily the best voice teacher I've had. I took a break for a long time from singing, and so it's really been starting from scratch. Shauna is an incredible teacher in her ability to not only explain the mechanics of singing, but also tie in the mental pieces as well. I've been working with her for a few months by now, and very excited to see what kind of progress is made as we keep working together.

"My son started taking lessons with Fawn in June of 2018. Each lesson has been amazing as Fawn takes a lot of effort and spends time in teaching her the right techniques in order to have a strong foundation. I have witnessed my son's voice transform tremendously with the guidance and help of Fawn’s efforts and it has been such a blessing. Fawn also enforces the importance of learning the right way and practicing which has helped my son get into a good routine and gain immense confidence in himself. I would recommend Fawn as a vocal coach to all aspiring singers because she invests a lot of time, care and expertise into her students to ensure they learn, do well and are successful."

"Eric is a great singing instructor! He's doing a great job tailoring the lessons to fit my skill level and goals as an amateur learning basic technique. For the first few lessons, he took the time to understand my voice, taught me exercises to learn how to better control my voice, and helped me practice singing some of my favorite (pop) songs. I feel like my voice and understanding of singing has improved significantly in even just a handful of lessons. Eric is also very patient and encouraging, which has given me a lot more confidence in enjoying my hobby to its fullest extent!"

"Michelle Voicing Me!

Hello,

I have been told I mumble when speaking for "some" many years now, even my Mother complains! I started with Michelle right after my 40th birthday this year in Feb.

Michelle's class is something for me to really look forward to every week. She can easily identify some of the reasons I probably "mumble" my words, and is quick to correct the problems, but not at all offensive! If that makes any sense?

She lets me sing songs I like and has a great way of explaining how the sounds should come out.

The whole experience with Takelessons.com has been quite easy, not a lot of pressure. A condition of my raise in salary was that I take some sort of voice course, because my boss could not always understand my messages or conversations! He seems to be very satisfied with my progress.

If you decide to got with Michelle, Which you should, you will really get all that you pay for and much more!

So you know this is not a "glorified" friends review... she has not cats or dogs to play with while you are there..:) But she is a better voice and therapy than you will ever receive anywhere, for you or your children!

Taking Singing Lessons in San Diego

By Priscilla M. - San Diego Voice Teacher

Hello there! Have you always wanted to take voice lessons in San Diego? I'm Priscilla, and I have a music studio here in San Diego where I teach both singing and piano lessons. I cannot remember a time when I have not been immersed in music. In fact, I started playing piano at the age of 3! I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Wheaton Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from University of Redlands here in California. I started vocal coaching in college and have worked with singers ever since. I have done everything from coaching pop and blues singers to working as a Musical Director for theatre.

I love teaching singing lessons because singing is such an incredible way for us to express ourselves. I love watching my students blossom and gain confidence as we work together, laugh together, and celebrate as they become the singers they have always dreamed of becoming.

We have all styles and ages of singers here in San Diego, from future Broadway stars to Jazz, Pop and Blues singers. One of my young students is aspiring to sing the National Anthem at a Chargers game someday! San Diego is a great place for singing; whether at one of the many piano bars around town, belting it out in a karaoke lounge, or singing in a musical with one of the numerous theatre groups, the opportunities abound here in beautiful San Diego.

Come join us and take singing lessons in San Diego! TakeLessons has a variety of voice instructors great for kids, adults and everyone in between. I love helping my students discover what they can become in the world of singing. You may only be a song away from becoming a terrific singer yourself!
