Grace is AMAZING. I learned so much in 1 lesson and really worked out my vocal chords. I hope to work with her again soon!

Grace is an outstanding vocal instructor. Today was my fifth lesson with her, and I can only hope that she allows me ot continue to be here student for the next few years... To become good at something requires a lot of practice. Some have suggested 10,000 hours of practice to become truly proficient. However, true proficiency is founded on fundamentals, and that is exactly what Grace stresses in each lesson. We cannot put a roof on this house until the foundation is set; and setting the foundation takes time, patience, practice, and a professional guide. Grace clearly is a professional vocalist, and I am certain that the fundamentals she is teaching me now will help me to evolve into the next Steve Perry! That is truly a joke! However, Steve Perry did not become great by ignoring fundamentals and forgetting to practice. Beyond being a wonderful instructor in fundamentals and theory, Grace is very encouraging, yet still exacting during our lessons. She freely gives praise when it is warranted, but will certainly not shy from having one repeat exercises that were "off". After 5 lessons, my voice is not the same. Grace suggested I do recordings, but being that I am my own greatest critic, I know how I sound. I am not the same as I was 5 lessons ago and my throat doesn't hurt anymore. I understand more and more each day the nuances of singing and I look forward to continuing this journey to be the best vocalist I can be. Thank you Grace!!!
