My goal is to teach students healthy vocal techniques that can be applied to different music genres but at the same time have fun singing while learning. From posture, breathing, phonation, vocal resonance, diction, phrasing, interpretation and more, students will develop a good foundation in singing and the confidence they need to be grow as a singer on and off the stage.

I like to teach each lesson, for both voice and piano, by spending equal time on ear-training/sight-reading (sight-singing), technique, and repertoire.

For singers used to singing along with their favorite recordings, matching sounds coming from the piano can be quite a challenge. Luckily, we live in an age of smartphones and tablets. I say this because if you go to iTunes or the Google Play store and search “intonation,” there are many apps that will help you learn to sing in tune (on the correct pitch). I’m new to using these apps, but I plan to use these in lessons regularly. Aside from counting steady rhythms, the ability to sing in tune is one of the most important skills for any aspiring singer. And while I’m thinking about it, download a metronome too. (I’ll explain how to use this after you book a lesson..he he :)

Also, training singers can be difficult because they can't see their instrument, and often singers don’t practice because they can’t see their ...

In just a few weeks there is a noticeable difference in my daughters voice and knowledge. So glad we have found a perfect teacher for her.

My son Burke has taken piano lessons from Stephen McCool for a few years and we think he is AWESOME! He shows a genuine interest in his students, stays serious about what he is teaching but also brings humor in to keep students from feeling stressed. It is clear that it brings him joy to share his love of music with his students. Mr. McCool is an excellent teacher and I would highly recommend him for students of any age.
Andrew N.
The first lesson was superb. Andrew really enjoyed his first piano class and really liked learning it from Mr. McCool. After class, Andrew was immediately motivated to do his practice. Mr. McCool is very encouraging, he makes the lesson easy going while making his student learned quickly (without pressure). We look forward to the next lessons with him. Leaving the students with their own desire to learn and to love music is indeed very important. He delivers that traits well.

Awesome overall. Very enthusiastic and extremely helpful to our son. Highly recommended.

Keith is fantastic! He expects the highest level of preparation and performance from me at all my lessons and thus pushes me to be a better performer every time. He tailors my lessons to exactly what I need - specific work for upcoming auditions as well as more general work to expand my repertoire. His lessons are also not not limited singing coaching - he also provides coaching in acting and movement. I feel like I have presented some of my best work to auditors as a result of working with Keith! And he does all this in the friendliest manner possible so that my lessons are always a great combination of fun, hard work, and inspiration.

You should expect to learn all vocal techniques just the same as any student but we fine tune your technique balance to suit the desired sound for different genres. We cannot just stop at the sound, the full performance has to be explored so we go over musical tools to enhance performance vocally as well as acting though the song, staging, guestures, and facials.

"Gina’s wonderfully encouraging and is helping me take the skills I already have and fine tuning them. She’ll listen to me sing a song the whole way through and then we’ll go back and work on specific sections. She gives good pointers and can give me vocal exercises to try to fix a specific problem. I like that we use YouTube karaoke videos because I can choose any song with a karaoke version and I can use the same video to practice at home as I do with her."

"Such an amazing experience working with Jennifer. If you are just starting out singing and are in need of learning the basics and more about where you are at in your voice you will be very happy. She is encouraging, fun, and will help you to find where you still need to practice. She will help you to break it down and to get the concepts down. She is also flexible, if you happen to run into a problem like I did with illness. If you are willing to put in the practice, you will find your time with her enjoyable and extremely valuable. I will be working with Jennifer again in the future..."

"I've never had vocal lessons before and my singing voice has never improved faster since I started lessons with Benjamin. He's a great teacher in many ways. His personal approach will take wherever you are as a singer to the next level. He will teach you not only proper techniques, control, and mindset of a singer; but he also teaches how to bring out your unique style and encourages your own personal expression.

You can waste your whole life listening to voice techniques from YouTube, but if you don't have Benjamin then you'll never achieve what you imagine your voice can be."

Atlanta is truly a capital in its own right. It is home to the headquarters of such Fortune 500 companies as AT&T, Delta Airlines, Coca Cola and Turner Broadcasting. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been noted as the busiest airport in the world for some time now. Atlanta, including the metropolitan area is home to 5.5 million + people. That’s a lot of churches, eateries and schools. Because Atlanta has boomed into a corporate capital of sorts, it has become most popularly perceived as a land of opportunity. The number of people present, plus the opportunity to gain affluence has rendered Atlanta a prime location to pursue investments for start up companies and to advertise to the millions of eager citizens as well as all the viewers in TV land following the growing number of Atlanta based TV shows. Atlanta is a hot ticket!

What does any of this have to do with music? Everything! What do companies use to advertise? Music! What do people use to make their commute more enjoyable? Music! What do the churches, eateries and schools use to facilitate a quality experience and connect with people? Music! Because music is such an integral part of the cohesiveness of a community, Atlanta is home to many festivals, conferences, and popular artist concerts.
