I vary students’ lessons with their interests and find the best teaching methods and practices to fit their needs. Because I believe everyone is different and unique. No one can stop you on learning anything but yourself. Therefore, I want students to focus on every lesson and have to practice outside of class which are required and important. Playing music is fun but learning takes time!!

I have been teaching professional piano lessons for 13 years. I am educated in Classical and Jazz Piano. Classical has taught me the structure and fundamentals of piano while Jazz has shown me how to improvise and play with other musicians.
I customize lesson plans to fit individual learning styles of students while incorporating songs the student picks. I have taught songs from Disney, Movie Soundtracks, Video Game Soundtracks, Pop and Rock artists and more. I also assist in Student Showcases which allows me to show my students how to play along with other musicians. Music is a big part of my life and I hope that I can pass on that joy to each of my students.

About Kiah
I've been playing music for more than a decade and the thing that has really stuck out to me that I would say is the most important is this: Never stop practicing. Some people are naturally gifted and pick up skills very easily. Some people aren't quite so lucky. The thing though is that being natu

My daughter wants to learn to play an electric guitar. Then, we met Steven through Take Lessons. We initially planned on getting the guitar lesson first but Steven introduced her playing the piano as well. He is very knowledgeable in teaching how to play an instrument and does so in a way so that the child can understand. Thanks a lot Steven!"

Practice - it’s something that most developing pianists generally dread. But there is a place where practice time is a precious commodity - the music conservatory. During my time as an undergraduate piano major, signing up and getting time to reserve a practice room was a ritual in patience, cunning, and bargaining. Because there were limited spaces for students to obtain the time they needed to prepare for tests, juries, and performances, every moment to prepare at a piano was preci …
