I began studying ear training in high school, and have taken several semesters of college-level ear training. In addition, I have studied piano at an intermediate level. Ear training is an amazing tool for improving intonation on your instrument and interpreting music in general. I have the following resources at my disposal for use in ear training lessons:

- Grand piano (in my College Studio and can be used online)

- Yamaha electric piano (in my Home Studio and can be used online)

Hi I'm Justine- classically trained clarinetist and teaching artist. I have about 8 years of teaching experience and my students play with school bands, honor bands, and youth symphonies.

When first beginning clarinet you can expect basic tone production and note reading ability. As you progress you will be able to play more demanding repertoire and refine your technique.

I teach a wide range of repertoire from soundtracks to the great classical masterpieces. I welcome beginners to explore classical melodies, pop tunes and soundtracks and intermediate to advanced players usually stick to classical works.

I bring more than thirty years of experience in teaching piano to students of every age and level. My lessons are tailored to each student's level and comprehension. I use a comprehensive approach to teaching piano incorporating technique development, learning of theory, piano performance and sight reading. In my lessons, I select and combine music from different music periods and styles. I also help students who want to obtain certificates from Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM) or Trinity College London (TCL) to excel in these examinations.

Students will learn and develop necessary skills and technique using the Bastien Piano method. Music theory is also incorporated into lessons.

I am a recent graduate of DePaul University School of Music for my bachelor's and am further continuing my graduate studies at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. I am very passionate about helping a student find their own voice while making music. Music is something that is so special and I truly believe that everyone deserves to experience it. I am open to teaching all ages and am very flexible with days and times that I teach. I cater to what the student wants to get out of lessons and will focus on specific areas that need greater attention to further enhance their playing ability.
