Richard is so patient and knowledgeable. I am very happy with our lessons. Because of my background with classical guitar he wondered if the fact that he doesn't read music and I am renewing my mind back into it would not be a good teaching set-up. Not at all. I now have an electric guitar and the five years spent playing classical, now fifteen years ago, did not give me a good foundation for understanding music theory unfortunately. I have a genre I had already picked out fingerstyle electric and now with some thinking my way through the basics I did have I still need to learn just basic strumming etc. I understand what he is referring to in music so we still speak in the same key. Also and lastly my daughter has a severe seizure/dementia disorder that is very unpredictable and our caregiver's mom just passed away so there will be times when I just can't do a week/day. He has been very understanding. I am smiling from my soul because music is my healing path for difficult stuff I couldn't pay any doctor/therapist to even call me back for. Thank you so much for your assistance. Sincerely Teresa

I began voice lessons at the age of 5. I have performed on stage and won various awards throughout the years. However, my great love is in teaching, being "behind the scenes" and helping others reach their potential. With more than 22 years of experience, combined with amazing teachers, I have accumulated an array of knowledge about the voice. I can also teach you how to accompany yourself with your chosen instrument. The truth is, anyone can sing! The breath is what holds the key to unlocking the amazing potential of your voice, and with practice, you can allow the voice to express your own unique individuality. All voices are different and beautiful, and it is the job of a voice teacher to help you reveal to you your own voice through proper technique, getting in touch with your body, and with "allowing" your voice to shine. There is a special voice/breath technique that was shown to me by one of my teachers, Martha Howe, an international opera singer and professor. She showed me ...

Before looking for a guitar teacher I knew I wanted someone who could teach to me why things work the way that they do in music and also the importance of practice and technique. Trev does a tremendous job of turning complicated theory into something simple to get you playing fast and confidentially. My favorite thing about Trev is his patience when he teaches and his constant reminders to trust the process, keep working and I'll be the guitar player I've always wanted to be. Appreciate you Trev!

Trevor is a dedicated teacher. He is eager to help you learn and grow as a musician. He takes his student's wants into consideration and helps them learn songs and genres they are passionate about. He is flexible, personable and patient.

I have followed my mother's singing footprints since 6 years of age. I am a huge fan of Walt Disney's movie because of its colorful arts and musics. in singing, i focus on the diaphragm for breathing techniques and performance anxieties. If your looking for a vocal teacher that are strictly for performance, I apologize for any inconvenience , however I'm not the teacher to prepare you for it. Basic vocal techniques are my main focus to enhance your voice to become better.

"Sophia was so kind and helpful. I wanted to get my 7 year old Josh involved in music and figured piano would be a good instrument to learn the basics on, especially since I already have a keyboard at home. Sophia arrived for his first lesson on time and was very polite. I sat in on the lesson and Josh was comfortable for usually being shy around girls. Sophia introduced him to basic technique and showed him some of the cool things a pianist can do. She even asked him what he liked to listen to and what he would want to play in the future, giving him a personal reason to practice. I hope he continues as long time and Sophia definitely makes that seem like a possibility. I cannot recommend her enough!!"

3 Reasons Why Piano Players Should Also Learn the Organ

There are many reasons why a music student may find themselves learning to play piano on a keyboard rather than on a baby grand: cost, space, or simply lack of access, for example. Versatility on a range of keyboard instruments is also an extremely useful string for any pianist to have to their bow, and can lead to greater practice and public performance opportunities, and even excellent opportunities to earn a little money on the side. The organ, although not the most prevalent or popular musi …
