Pro Tools has long been the industry standard for recording in the music business. It works on Mac or PC and is a very powerful tool for music production, recording bands, mixing, editing, or mastering. Most DAWs are quite good these days so learning your way around Pro Tools will get your music out there and sounding great too!

About Sean

I am a professional pianist who primarily performs but also loves to share the gift of music through teaching. My specialty is jazz but I play most other genres and am a firm believer of learning the fundamentals. Iteach all ages and levels, and want my students to be having fun! And if your pia

Sean is a great teacher. It has been my experience with 2 previous “teachers” that were very accomplished trumpet players, but failed to articulate their message to help me improve.

I have 12 years of experience playing the piano. My focus is primarily classical and sacred music. I have been teaching piano since 2016 and have loved every minute of it. I have also played for many special events (weddings/funerals/church worship team). My music instructor studied under interns of Juilliard School and Curtis Institute. From energetic kindergarteners with a list of favorite songs to learn to school-age students with an interest in the arts, my music students have found the piano to be a great creative outlet.

About Abigail

In my free time, I enjoy playing in my family's music band and learning new creative skills, such as sewing, crocheting, trying new recipes in the kitchen (including gourmet cookies), and am currently studying horticulture.

I am a 22 year old senior music media major (emphasis in trombone) at the illustrious Norfolk State University. I study with the tuba player for the Virginia symphony and had a few lessons with one of their trombonists. I have been playing trombone since 2010, started off on trumpet before then. I play for 2 bands currently, Hot Gumbo Brass Band which is a New Orleans second line band and Infinite Flava which is an r&b group. At Norfolk state I have been in the jazz band, jazz combo, marching band (assistant section leader 2018 and head section leader 2019 for the trombone section), and symphonic band. I am well rounded in all facets of music. From classical all the way to the old tailgate trombone days. I have learned a lot from my mentors and think I am more than capable of getting my students on the right track. I prefer to teach beginner and intermediate, one of the hardest things to teach beginners is the pedagogy, how to make music instead of just playing the right notes. I have

Susan is not only an accomplished musician, but she is also an amazing teacher and mentor. She elevated my daughter’s musicianship and helped her find her true potential as a classical pianist. My daughter’s success as a competitive pianist is due to Susan’s instruction, encouragement, and guidance. When we started lessons with Susan, we struck gold!

Susan is an experienced concert pianist with world-class expertise in the instrument, yet she is also an approachable educator + coach who has done a great deal to advance my technique and interpretation. I’m glad to have found her. Advanced pianists will be pleased to find someone who can help raise their game even further, but regardless of your skill level, I don’t think you’ll regret signing up with her.

Susan was a PERFECT match for me. I really hate leaving her great knowledge. She has poured out to me her expert knowledge. Unfortunately, I am unable to continue. Susan is a teaching jewel to be cherished.

I cannot recommend Timothy enough. He is a wonderful, supportive teacher who is always encouraging, even when the student feels they aren't performing their best. "Anna is a wonderful teacher. She allows me as a parent (and encourages) to attend lessons so i can be her proxy during the week to reinforce lessons taught; this helps with continuous week to week progress. She demands a lot of my child in terms of warm-ups drills, site reading, rhythm, intonation, and sound. She is rigorous in terms of proper technique, training, and demands playing "beautifully" (with emotion). When things get too tough she takes a step back and gets back to the basics, focusing on advancing through a piece note by note, measure by measure. The end result is fantastic and often get featured in concert performances several times a year. My child has grown tremendously since starting with Ms. Anna; he had a previous teacher and picked up a lot of bad habits that we had to engineer out. He now is playing at a high level as a 10 year old having been with Ms. Anna for ~2 years. He has grown through each piece, taking his time. There is no pressure to move onto new pieces until each piece has been mastered. His maturity, self-confidence and work ethic have all grown because of cello. It has been a tremendous pleasure to learn from Ms. Anna, not to mention see her perform in the San Diego symphony. She is a true professional who understands how to work with kids but also pull the best out of them!"

How to Read Guitar Tabs Like a Pro | Learn Guitar | TakeLessons

Want to learn how to read guitar tabs? You’ve come to the right place. The traditional method of learning guitar involves scales, reading music, and other music theory skills. It’s a time-honored process that takes practice and intense study. However, if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to dive right into playing the guitar, you may want to turn to tablature.
