Music is my passion, and when you've found your passion, you've found your purpose!
As a singer and a teacher, I specialize in Rhythm and Blues, (R&B), Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Indie, and Country Music and I am able to help students excel in these areas. I am very easy going, patient and excited about strengthening the voice and how the voice works.
At the tender age of 3, I was the youngest to sing with the adults in a concert. Since then, I knew that singing was something I was going to do for the rest of my life. At age 7, I started playing piano and guitar. At the age of 12, I formed a group in high school and started teaching the group about the importance of learning different harmony and using the vocal chords. At ages 13 through 16, I took guitar and voice lessons and I have been mastering the art of teaching voice lessons for ma
ny years and ear training.
Being a resident of New York for many years, I taught vocal lessons from 1992 to 2003 to kids, teens, main choir and a group of 12. I have sung all over the tri-state area in New York and our group have sung at many different events from the songs of the late great Whitney Houston, Adele, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and much more. I will teach you the joy of having the art of the great singers, but simply, being yourself.
Even though, I pursued both my Undergraduate and my MBA in Finance, I never lost my first love. I was always strengthening my voice and teaching the art of music at church or with friends.
As a current resident of Florida, and the Vocal Director at my local church, I am excited to bring the very best to my students and to take their voices to the next level through breathing support and vocal techniques. Whether you just want to improve on your vocal ability, or as a hobby, starring in your local talent show, or auditioning for the big stage, my goal in teaching is:
"If singing is your dream, then you should make it a reality!"
*** Lesson Details *** I am a very supportive, easy going, patient and laid back teacher. I also believe that what you put in, you will get out. The one thing I can guarantee, is that you will have fun in each session and each lesson will be something you will walk away remembering.
My main focus for each student, is to meet them where they are. Each person is different and develop at their own pace. My goal is to make you confident that what you love is what you should be doing and to make your voice stronger while accomplishing this goal.
*** Travel Equipment *** Travel with my own keyboard for vocal training. Students may also own their own instrument for practicing. Parents may listen in on lessons.
*** Specialties *** Rhythm and Blues, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, Country

Steven B played keyboards, guitar and sang. The concerts honored real-life moms, dads, doctors, nurses, teachers, athletes, entertainers who give back to charity, police officers, firemen, and explorers who make our world a better place. His list of performances continues. He has a record of being the only musician to write a song, produce it, playing the instruments and vocals, along with filming and editing the videos of the performances each week for 52 consecutive weeks. His students benefit because he teaches many aspects in performance and can prepare students for any kind of audition or performance.
In conclusion, whether you want to learn to play an instrument and/or sing just for your own benefit and joy... Or you want to perform... Or you want to be professional earning money with music - you have come to the correct place. He will be looking forward in working with you. Again, he teaches all styles, ages and skill levels. “I took voice and piano lessons in Steven B’s Coronado Music Studio and also online via Skype. Both experiences were great, and it was really convenient to do the lessons on Skype. Steven B is an excellent teacher, and he is very patient. I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play an instrument or sing!” - Kat , 5 Stars!
“Steven B’s fun and patient teaching style rocks. I see how his bright, fun-loving personality, and knowledge of music for piano makes him top choice as my daughter’s music instructor.” - Anthony, 5 Stars!
“Steven B is a wonderful teacher! He is talented, always enthusiastic, and extremely motivational! Each lesson is designed specifically for our daughter Kelsey's ability and desired genre of music! Kelsey began guitar and vocal lessons in the Coronado studio and is now taking lessons via Skype since our move to Virginia. The lessons are convenient, affordable, and productive. We are excited to be able to still have Steven B as her guitar and vocal teacher!” - Amy, 5 Stars!
“I came to Steven B as a beginner in piano and I took the piano lessons on my Casio keyboard. I just wanted to learn my favorite songs. Steven B got me into the music I really enjoy! In only three months, I was able to play and sing a song I truly love titled “Angel” from Sarah McLachian. My teacher said I performed it as well as the artist. My friends, loved my performance of the song!” - Katrina, 5 Stars!
“My son has taken guitar and voice lessons with Steven B for the last year. We are pleased with classes and the improvement we've seen in comparison to a previous instructor. Steven B is punctual and extremely respectful of the time and money it takes to provide lessons. He can be counted on to be both friendly and professional. He comes prepared for lessons and expects the same of his students. If you are serious about learning and improving your skills, we highly recommend him.” - Christina, 5 Stars!
“My time in being instructed by Steven B on piano was a great, informative experience. Ever since the first lesson, he is a very good teacher that clearly knows what he is doing. Mr. B. taught me at my own pace, taking time to help me work on skills, especially small details that help me perform much better. He is a very skilled instructor, teaching me pieces from not only music books that he provides, but also the valuable skill of learning by ear, a skill few other teachers bother to touch on. Steven B has helped on a number of occasions with songs that I am learning on my own and fit time into our lessons to work on them. He is always willing to let the student work on what they like as well as what he gives out. When I once mentioned my liking for jazz, we soon started an in-depth series of lessons into the genre, teaching me much more than I ever knew prior to it. I’ve never felt pressured by my assignments and pieces to bring home, as Steven B knows everyone goes at their own pace and can take anytime from a few days to a few weeks to learn a song. My time with him was a very fun and informative time that I thoroughly enjoyed.” - Michael, 5 Stars!

Steven is an excellent instructor. After the first lesson, my vocal chords were tired but felt like I actually did something! He is extremely well-prepared, explains what he is trying to do, demonstrates the exercises and then offers feedback on your efforts. Top notch instructor!

Hi there! My name is Scarlet and I can't wait to meet you. I've been teaching private lessons since 2017 and have loved helping my students learn how to read music, play guitar, and learn the songs they love. I currently attend the UNLV School of Music for music education. Teaching music is my passion. I'm easy-going and my schedule is flexible. Learning a new instrument can be very daunting and frustrating, especially if you do not have a teacher. To combat this, I strive to make lessons fun, organized, and tailored for your success. Happy to answer your questions. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
Loralee began exploring music at a very young age, as part of a musical household. She enrolled in flute lessons at the age of 4, giving her solid roots in music theory and an appreciation for classical music. Her flute lessons later led her to take part in marching band and numerous musical ensembles.
Aside from her love of music, 15 years of performing and studying dance led her to discover her joy in teaching when she began to teach creative movement and ballet to young dancers. In college, she began learning guitar and writing music to match a growing passion for songwriting and acoustic folk music. Her musical pursuits led her to join a local alt punk band as a vocalist, and she performed with them in the surrounding area.
After graduating with a B.A. at Michigan State University, Loralee began to pursue a career as a solo mu
sician, and released a 4 song EP “If You Were a Song”. Now, she has written hundreds of songs and performs her original music in the Dallas area.
I picked up music when I was very young and have never looked back. I started with the piano and then moved on to the violin, of which I competed regularly in up until high school. In high school I switched the viola and found it to me even more amazing. During high school I competed again in music between schools, the San Diego Youth Orchestra. I currently work with several students with special needs such as Autism and other Neurological delays. My son is Autistic and music was a great way for him to express himself. I found that the other children I work with on the spectrum have more abilities to express themselves through music then with words. I also work with students that are not yet comfortable with themselves and getting them to breath and enjoy the music helps bring them out of their shells.
I regularly find myself jamming o
ut with another music instructor every chance we get. Music is a great relief and enjoyment that I want to share with as many people as I can. I am currently in college getting my Bachelors degree in History with a minor in Music.
Hello, my name is Michael! I have been playing guitar since I was 10-years old. Aside from being a teacher, performer, and songwriter, I would define myself as a "guitar nerd" because I love every aspect of playing. I still practice every day and have an insatiable hunger for new opportunities to play and learn. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of metal, rock, blues, country, and guitar. In my spare time, I enjoy writing music and playing more guitar. I graduated from Berklee in 2017, where I received the Jimi Hendrix Award. This is given to the best guitar player in the school. I was the first rock/metal guitar player to do so! I received instruction from world-class teachers such as Joe Stump and Norm Zocher. Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance; while in Boston, I played and recorded with the melodic met
al band Black Trip. With Black Trip, I was fortunate enough to open up for such bands as Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Rhapsody of Fire, and Doro. Here in Los Angeles, I am currently teaching, playing with various bands, and working on my band's debut album.
I'm 2 lessons in and so far Michael has been a great teacher. He is exceptionally skilled and has a wealth of knowledge to share, as well as being very good at listening to what I am trying to accomplish and creating well thought out exercises to help me progress. Highly recommended!

When it comes to learning how to sing rock music, what do you need to know? Find out in this article by Saint Augustine, FL teacher Heather L...
Rock singers are not exactly known for having impeccable technique or healthy vocal habits. So it might seem strange that a classically trained singer and professional voice teacher has anything to say about singing rock music, but I do.
First, I believe that it's wrong to dismiss rock singers as undisciplined slackers with little interest in …
