Welcome to my profile. Working with me you will learn adequate musical theater techniques, great techniques for choral singing, and also techniques on acting the song to help with auditioning for upcoming events. I work with all styles of singers from Christian rock to pop singers. Any level singer is welcome to join. I am currently a vocal music education major at Lindenwood University with a minor in theater. So a lot of the material and the techniques that I am using our current and being used by today's artists and educators.

Do you have a passion for singing? Singing lessons are all specially customized to suit the needs of the student. I posses five years of vocal teaching from ages five to fifty and over twenty years being a singer myself. Lessons would comprise of learning music theory, ear training, sight singing, and more. You will be singing your favorite radio hits in no time.

As a vocalist trained in Classical, Jazz, and popular styles of music, I have come to understand that the art of singing is inherently a highly emotional, physical and intellectual experience. With precise discipline, motivation and perseverance, music can seemingly fall into place. When these elements are united in preparation for a performance, the voice becomes free and the possibilities seem endless. My goal as a an artist and teacher is to discover these boundless possibilities for myself and therefore my students.

To best do this, I have adopted an adaptive and collaborative style of teaching. At the start of each semester I assess each student’s unique strengths, goals, and expectations. Once this is done I am able to create a personalized lesson plan that will evolve as each student progresses in his or her training. Students will be introduced to a variety of vocal warm up and strengthening techniques designed to develop the voice. We will also be studying songs and lyric reading.

I want you to get the most out of our lesson and enjoy helping you get better at what you do best while we work on what you wish to improve!
I am good at creating a tailor made plan of study, based on the individual’s goals, styles and interests and have been a professional teacher for more than 5 years, including individual lessons, small vocal ensemble sound workshops and choir coaching.
I work on breathing technique for a resonant and voice and diction, as well as phrasing and improvising around the melodies. With my younger students, I might write songs and learn the words by miming while we work on articulation and good posture. I have experience with students as young as eight through college age and older and am open for genres from Pop, Soul and R&B to Jazz, original compositions and more.

I also teach how to read chords and accompany yourself if you have a piano or keyboard!

I am a classically trained singer with over ten years of musical training. My voice type is bass-baritone, which only means that I can sing real low. I hold a bachelor's degree in voice performance from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver where I have had the opportunity to work with a wonderful roster of professional opera singers. I've received training in vocal pedagogy, choral singing, and of course opera where my passion lies, and my goal is to share what I've learned with anyone who would like to get acquainted with the artform, albeit with just a few lessons to prepare for a wedding performance or a karaoke hangout with their friends, or for an audition for a music program, and other more serious business. Whatever it is, it would be my pleasure to help you get what you need.
