Zebie is a fantastic teacher. He is very patient and is excellent at finding new methods to teach techniques which I am struggling with at the time. Though I am only 3 weeks in (from being pretty much a complete beginner), I can already tell I am making progress. I am very excited to continue my lessons and improve. I highly recommend taking lessons from Zebie.

I started playing the flute at a young age and I have since developed a passion for music. The flute is such a unique instrument, yet it looks so simple. I believe that the best way to learn is by making it something you enjoy. This entails having fun and understanding that the path to success comes with both highs and lows.

About Trishani

I have been playing the flute for 10 years and have learned so many new things about music and from the relationships I've made with people. I have experience working with young children in preschools and in elementary schools. Learning the flute has helped me learn to play other instruments like t

"We would recommend this teacher highly.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Carolyn for almost a year, and we have been very pleased with the entire experience. Carolyn is a super teacher, and has a gentle, kind approach to teaching which I believe is especially helpful in working with children (my daughter is eight years old). She certainly knows her field well and is able to relay the necessary information in a straight forward, yet fun manner. Carolyn obviously has a passion for teaching piano and keyboard."

"Would highly recommend as a teacher for beginner-adults. Zhana is a wonderful, patient, and constructive teacher and has several regular adult and child students.

I've gone to her for the past 2 years as we work through the first few suzuki levels. As an adult learner, violin is tough but Zhana breaks it down and gives helpful feedback.

She also goes above and beyond for her students by organizing recitals a few times a year. Her adult-students and child-students all perform at recitals."

"My 13 year-old daughter had taken voice lessons from Ms. Laura in Maryland for two years. I have to say my daughter was so lucky to have Ms. Laura as her first voice teacher! When my daughter started to show interest in singing in 2016, she knew very little about singing. Ms. Laura was very knowledgeable, personal and supportive. Ms. Laura taught my daughter about vocal anatomy, how to improve her voice presentation and how to avoid possibility of voice loss, inflammation from overuse or misuse. After several months, my daughter made very impressive progress on her voice range and presentation. It was such a treat when I listened to my daughter practicing singing at home. She was getting better and better every day. I was so proud of my daughter. At the same time, I really appreciate Ms. Laura being such a wonderful teacher. Ms. Laura is very personal. She tried to know my daughter as a teacher and as a friend. Based on each student's personality and strength, Ms. Laura chose music that helps each student to grow, but also focus on what needs to be worked on. Ms. Laura was very flexible when we needed to reschedule lessons. We sure miss her!!"

6 New Ideas for Piano Warm-Ups

We all know the importance of warming up - but do you actually commit to a proper warm-up every time you sit down to play the piano?  If you're in a rush, it's easy to forget it.  However, an effective warm-up is essential for avoiding injuries, such as tendonitis, and can also help increase the dexterity of your fingers and hands, allowing you to reach certain tough chords. Before you get into the "meat and potatoes" of your practice session, you'll want to spend a good 10-15 minutes focus …
