Hi! I've been playing guitar and with bands for over 15 years. I started on upright bass and played in an orchestra before moving onto jazz band, and then eventually taught myself guitar. The last band I was in toured and recorded all over the country before moving to Seattle. Songwriting is my greatest passion. If you have any interest in writing your own songs, I'd be more than happy to help. I'm comfortable with multiple genres and with electric or acoustic guitar. We can come up with a lesson plan together, or I can plan something myself based on your needs. Thank you!
I play guitar, upright & electric bass, and piano. I've played in multiple bands throughout my life. I moved to Seattle with my band from Ann Arbor in 2016. We played Indie Psych Rock and were influenced by bands like Talking Heads, The Strokes, and David Bowie. We had the privilege of recording a s

BS in Civil Engineering from University of Delaware

Do you want a math teacher that is excellent at teaching and FUN? Well you have come to the right place! I have taught for 5 years in New York and 2 years in Berlin, and my students will describe me as enthusiastic, funny, and caring, but with a dash of ridiculousness! My goal is to make a hard and dry subject like math into something that is enjoyable. I am a certified New York certified professional teacher that loves teaching math and I hope I can get you to love math too.
I have taught common core subjects such as Algebra 1, Algebra 2 & Trigonometry, and Geometry while in New York. I also have experience teaching middle school (6th-8th) and secondary subjects such as Pre-Calc, Intro to Calculus, and Intro to Statistics.
I started my career as a civil engineer, but once I got a taste of teaching I never looked back. I taught in New York for 5 years and last year I started my international teaching career by accepting a teaching position in Berlin. Teaching is my passion and I hope my love for math will rub off on
She learnt a lot. Especially, the way of teaching was extremly interesting for Lisa and has highly motiovated her. Math has now become one of the favorite subjects in school - what can we expect more!

Do you want to understand your favorite anime show, movies or Japanese culture better? Do you want to learn to crack jokes in Japanese and win any crowd over? Would you like to do business in Japan and need someone who can not only teach you the language, but cultural differences and etiquette so you can win over any client?
Japanese and English are polar opposites in many ways.
Sentence structures are upside down. English is written horizontally left to right, but traditional Japanese is written vertically right to left.
Communicating can be difficult when what can be spoken directly in English has to be said in more subtle ways in Japanese, and this miscommunication can cause relationships to break down.
My passion is to help people cross cultural barriers and make new friends.
Learning a new language can build confidence and expand your mind in ways you never thought possible!
One of the signs that you have truly mastered a language is to understand the humor. I can ...

So said my 10 year old son after his first lesson with Buzz. The same kid who had been begging to quit taking piano lessons with his former teacher situation.
Buzz is a master of "following the student's inspiration." Rather than force a lesson sequence out of a book, Buzz observes the student's own thinking about the music experience and tailors fun learning objectives within or close to the student's inspiration. As a result, my son is much more willing to practice, and has recently "composed" his own piece of music, learned about different styles, and absorbed an impressive amount of music theory. Buzz is highly recommended for any student who has musical aptitude, but requires the right motivation and inspiration."
I feel so privileged to have Leni as my teacher. He isn’t just some young guy fresh out of school who teaches you the basics. Leni is an educated and accomplished musician and his knowledge of music and the history of the classical music you work on is phenomenal. He’s the real deal.
One of the main things Leni focuses on is form. He teaches the Taubman Approach, which is an ergonomic way of using your hands to play. It makes it so much more comfortable to play and sets you up to learn faster and be able to play more difficult pieces as you progress.
Leni also teaches that learning a piece music is more than just learning the notes. He goes into the musicality of it and why the choices the composer made make sense. I also wasn’t really much into classical music, but the music he has me working on is so enjoyable, that practice doesn’t feel like work. It’s so exciting to see what the next piece is he’ll give me to work on.
5 satars all the way."
