Cultivating one's technique establishes good habits regarding things like breath, and posture, which will help maintain a singers overall vocal health. In addition to classical repertoire I have experience working with musical theater, pop, jazz, soul, and country.

I had a really great time and she explained so much to me that I wasn't really clear on.

I needed last minute coaching for an upcoming audition and was feeling unprepared and frazzled. Chelsea easily knew what I needed. She made recommendations, was wonderfully engaging, and her insight and ear highlighted some important tweaks that I would have overlooked in my haste to prepare. After just one session I felt clearer, calmer, and considerably more confident. Bonus: Chelsea is incredibly kind, fun to work with and makes you feel you already know one another. Chelsea has my highest recommendation

I want my students to develop a reliable technique so that they can accomplish anything that they would want to perform. I think technique is the most reliable base you can have for a lasting and enjoyable vocal career. I am interested in what you want to learn as well as your vocal aspirations. I cannot wait to work with you!

For students that are younger (elementary-middle school) I recommend 30-45 minutes.

"Amazing musical experience!

Rachelle taught me for around a total of a two years. Throughout my time with her my musical horizons were vastly broadened. From general Piano/music theory to singing with proper use of diaphragm, her instruction was thorough, intense, and sincere. She always had a way of making me feel very comfortable with myself and helped me to achieve a greater sense of confidence in my musical abilities.

Overall I would recommend Rachelle to ANYONE in any field of music. She has the skills, experience and knowledge that anyone would benefit from, and I feel very blessed for the time I had learning from her!"

"Need a teacher who's very knowledgeable, incredibly flexible, and super caring? Chelsea's the one!

When we were looking for a new teacher after our previous teacher moved out of state, I found Chelsea's information online and contacted her. She spent 45 minutes with me, going over my daughter's musical interests and needs, her teaching philosophy and style. She has carried on that same thoughtful approach for the last three years as she has taught my daughter both piano and voice. She tailors her lessons to her particular needs, working on specific concepts that she needs help with or in support of my daughter's goals.

Chelsea has coached my daughter through musical theatre audition pieces, helped her prepare for all-county and Maryland all-state chorus auditions, and tirelessly worked on various piano and vocal techniques. With Chelsea's support, my daughter has been in All-County Chorus for three years and was part of the Maryland All-State Chorus. She recently had a lead role in her school's musical theater production.

Even more important than all of that, Chelsea shares her love of music. She tells stories of her own experiences with auditions and learning music. Chelsea is always supportive and encouraging, sending good wishes on audition day and ready to tackle a new piece with her at a moment's notice.

I highly recommend Chelsea as a vocal and piano teacher!"

"Working with Rebecca was a fantastic experience! I was a total newbie who knew nothing about singing when she starting teaching me. Rebecca showed a ton of patience with me, and the other singers in our group. She helped me find the confidence to get up on a stage and sing in front of a bunch of strangers. Rebecca's lessons and vocal warm-ups were always fun and informative! I highly recommend Rebecca as a teacher."

During lessons, she explains each exercise very clearly and always knows the right advice to give when I am having trouble grasping a concept. She always inspires me to work hard to reach my own goals and her dedication to our lessons together has already led to amazing leaps in progress in my voice. I would absolutely recommend her for students of any level of training; you will very quickly notice the progress in your own voice while enjoying the art of singing."
