Learning to play your instrument at the highest level will make it easier for anyone to play any kind of music they may like. Don't waste time learning to play tunes on sax, but spend time learning to play sax on any tunes. Seems like a smarter way to go to me. I'm all about learning to play as fast and efficiently as possible. However practice and playing time is a must.
Takes the same amount of time to learn to play sax now as it did 175 years ago!
35 yrs of teaching sax and clarinet students Many of my students have participated in Honor Band and All State Band events year after year. I am very comfortable with total beginners, advancing players, and aspiring pros. I currently have students from 9 to 80+ I tailor student lessons to the need

Acquiring good habits and building confidence are invaluable when it comes to studying an instrument and when playing with others. Each student brings their own unique personality to the lesson process and therefore requires a different approach to learning. I encourage students to rely on their individual strengths regardless of any specific method or philosophy of teaching. It is extremely rewarding to see the joy as students not only reach milestones, but ultimately become their own best teachers!
I am a graduate of the Juilliard School and a frequent guest artist and faculty member at the nations’ leading festivals and summer programs. Having taught for over 20 years, I have an extensive background working with a wide range of students in private and group settings. In addition, I work clos

My students learn basic note reading, strumming and technique. We have fun writing songs, too! Students can expect to complete Hal Leonard's Guitar Book One, plus Hal Leonard's Easy Pop Melodies, along with plenty of supplemental songs.

Our Bass Guitar lessons are geared for the beginner to intermediate student. We introduce tablature as well as reading music in bass clef. Beginner students start out with a flat pick then tend to move up to fingerstyle techniques.
Hello, My Name is Luis I have been playing the guitar for some time now as a hobby. In 2017 I launched my new website TritoneMusic.net providing pre-owned guitars, lessons, and merchandise. I found teaching to be one of the most rewarding contributions I can make to an individual. I will trave

Hi there, I'm Dan. I've been playing guitar as my main instrument for 16 years, as well as Bass, Ukulele, Piano, and Vocals. Music is my passion, and I cannot imagine a better way of devoting my time than spreading the gift of this amazing craft.
I've been giving one-on-one musical instruction since 2012, beginning at the Oceanside School of Music and then transitioning to private lessons. I pride myself on the ability to cater each lesson to every student's individual needs, tastes, and goals. Someone once told me, "the goal of the teacher is to make themselves obsolete," and I couldn't agree more. Whether you've never picked up a guitar before or want to perfect your already advanced technique, I'll be here to make sure you achieve your goals and have fun learning.
I am a working performer, singer-songwriter, and guitar player. I currently am the songwriter and frontman of a regularly gigging band and have been leading this project since 2014. I have years of extensive jazz and music theory training on guitar and bass. Hi there, I'm Dan and I hope to

I took lessons once a week with Ahmad, and every week I could see noticeable improvements because Ahmad assigned me homework that was fun and challenging but never frustrating. But beyond this, not only have I become a more skilled guitar player, through Ahmad help I was also able to apply a lot of the theoretical music knowledge in other aspects. When I hear a piece of music, I find that I am slowly able to identify parts of the music, break it down into logical steps, and connect the music to the fretboard of the guitar.
I am a college student with a busy schedule both on and off work, but with Ahmad I was able to greatly improve nonetheless. Thank you Ahmad , I really look forward to coming back to the area and be your student again."
Well, Francesca is ALL of those positive qualities. She knows her stuff, communicates very efficiently (and nicely!). She has a huge range of skills and talents -- from very professional skills/talents while still being able to do/show very down-to-earth personal performances (check out her videos of her performances -- you can see she is very skilled but also very personable -- a rare combination).
Another HUGE quality is her ability with kids. While I am an adult, it was very telling about what kind of *teacher* Francesca is by seeing her be successful with Kids. When I would arrive a bit early for my lessons, often she was just finishing up the last few minutes with a child. She is VERY good with children -- and that is a skill in itself. It's one thing to communicate well with adults; a whole other talent to be "fun" and inspirational to kids! And Francesca does that extremely well. The children learn and have fun doing it -- you can tell by the interactions that the kids are excited and are learning and doing well... of course that equals Fun (and keeps them motivated to learn more). If you have children that want to learn any musical instrument, I would highly recommend Francesca.
All in all, I am very happy I found her. I have learned SO much in just my first several lessons that I am very pleased with the VALUE of her teaching -- some teachers may be cheaper in cost, but if it takes 5 times longer to learn from a semi-good teacher, you end up spending more and getting less, and taking more time. The old saying applies here: "You get what you pay for."
If there were 6 stars available, Francesca would get that rating from me."
He really helps to improve singing range, especially in head voice and the higher pitches. I definitely feel more confident in my singing. Jameson really makes a singer make a song his or her own by the way that he incorporates feelings and actions. The Alexander Technique really helps in singing and in every day activities."
I cannot overstate what a transformative impact meeting Evan has had on my life. It's made me a better musician in all of my instruments, because he instills a deeper understanding of theory and musicianship. Violin is a challenging instrument, if not the most challenging, but Evan skillfully guides students to mastery. Randomly deciding to buy a violin and doing a quick search for local teachers one day was the best decision I've ever made, and it's all because of Evan. I can't imagine life without my violin teacher!"
Learning a few simple licks is a great way to get started playing the guitar! Even better, some of the most famous riffs in rock and roll are incredibly easy to play. Guitar teacher Matthew K. explains how... Anyone can learn the guitar, but it can be frustrating at first. Sore fingers and cramping hands can deter anyone from getting their first song down. This is why I compiled a list of five of my favorite simple guitar licks that sound great, and once you get them down, you can impress you …
