My name is Russell and I have been playing guitar professionally for 20 years and teaching music and producing records for over 10. I have worked with artists such as Mac Miller, Sean Kingston, Lifehouse, Disney's Caityln Taylor Love and have composed music to 100s of your favorite TV shows! Learn to sing correctly using the best techniques in the world. I studied voice with Robert Austin at USD and Richard Nichol in San Francisco in the Garcia-Marcheisse Institute. I have over 35 years of on-stage performance including Opera performances, Broadway Style Musicals, Sacred Oratorios as well as Intimate opera dinner gatherings. From Soloist at St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco to entertainer at corporate events with over 5,000 in attendance. After taking $30,000 in voice lessons I have now written my own "How to sing correctly" training manual.

I am passionate about cultivating the next generation of singers and musical theater artists. I have experience working with children as young as 6 to adults in their 70s who love to sing. My lessons are entirely based on my students needs and are adaptable. I've taught students preparing for college auditions at top musical theater programs as well as students who just want to have fun and perfect their singing. Most of my lessons start off with a warm up that helps hone vocal technique and skills to practice throughout the week and then move into singing material of the student's choice. I am a musical theater actor who was working at theater's all around NYC and the USA before the pandemic hit. I have always been passionate about working with my students and will make time for them even when I am on contract.

Music awakens the inner soul, whether you just listen or learn to make your own music. Research shows music can enhance your concentration, build your confidence, decrease anxiety and increase your ability to analyze situations.

I strive to teach music in a way that will work best for each person and enhance their natural abilities and strengths.

My students and I work together to improve vocal technique, develop performance style and build confidence. I happily coach total beginners, professional singers and everyone in between. The methods I use draw on a range of contemporary teaching concepts that aim to help you get the most out of YOUR unique voice, as opposed to trying to produce a specific, 'cookie cutter' sound. Although, if you want to work towards a particular vocal style (Broadway, studio- pop, metal etc) we can absolutely explore that too.
