Learn to move through vocal exercises with ease while crafting your voice, tone, and style. But most importantly, learn to take your voice and turn it into SONG. Singing songs is where most of my training has come from and I’m a firm believer that singing the tunes you love will teach your voice how best to interpret notes, follow intervals, explore dynamics, and gain control. Don’t just sing, PERFORM.

Studying with Greg was a wonderful experience. I'd sung as a teenager in choir and had studied music as a child. As an adult I wanted to study voice for creative outlet and found Greg through a friend. He got me started immediately on vocal exercises, some music theory to train my ear and we selected songs that I was interested in. I broke through some 'blocks' I had about singing in front of another person and really made progress. I feel much more confident with expressing myself through my voice. Incidentally, I saw Greg perform with one of his students who got a recording contract -- he's a wonderful musician on guitar, piano and voice. A pleasure to watch and then bring that back to the lessons. I highly recommend him as a teacher !"

Most importantly the results of his instruction have been excellent. I've made more progress under his tutelage in two months than I've made over a couple of years on my own.
An excellent teacher and very affable, I can only think of good things to write about Mr. Aleksis!"

You may have heard the comparison between musicians and athletes before. Just like great sports players have to prepare their bodies and minds, truly mastering your instrument requires efficient warm-ups, practice and passion. Let one little bad habit slip into your routine, and you might end up in trouble. Particularly as you grow older, bad habits can set your progress back before you even notice it. And for singers, repeating those tendencies may even leave you with permanent vocal cord da …
