We will work from the bottom up, starting with proper breathing and warm up exercises.
Scale work and technical drills are made fun through games and other means to keep things interesting :)
Repertoire work will be chosen according to experience level after basic assessment, we can work together to find something you enjoy playing.
Basic theory and music history will be addressed naturally as we work through new pieces!
I am more than happy to work on any other music you are currently playing for school or other ensembles.
Let's have fun and work hard!

Book NowI have been teaching professionally for the past six years. As a student who struggled myself in nearly every aspect of education, I understand the importance of individualized learning. As a teacher and performer, I look to find relationships between the emotional and intellectual facets of music. By doing this, I try to uncover the mystery of violin playing, allowing my students to gain an understanding that will last with them forever.
Every single student posseses the potential to fulfill his or her violinistic dreams. I cater my teaching around the goals of each student, while still instilling a high artistic integrity.
Though I center each lesson around building a superior technical foundation, duet playing, the theory of harmony, and aural skills are integral parts of my teaching. I strive for my students to develope a beautiful, in-tune, pure sound that can directly connect to their own emotional palette.

I am a fully self-taught pianist...until I went to college that is. After 15 years of struggling to reach the highest levels of playing I could achieve, I have collected a few gold nuggets of secrets to make piano learning a LOT more fun and easier to understand. My approach to teaching is simple: if you're not having fun while trying to perfect your favorite song, I am not doing my job well enough. I always adapt my teaching style to fit the student's personality, mood and learning style (even on a week to week basis). I truly enjoy seeing the student SHINE and get excited about mastering a hard part in a song or playing both hands for the first time; if the student is happy and excited, I am happy and excited for them!
About Cristian
HELLO! My name is Cristian and I have a rather unusual history and background. I was originally a metal head who turned to piano playing because a lot of classical music sounded like my favorite band's guitar sections. After teaching myself from age 14 for 3 years, I was playing at a level that mos

Book NowI have played guitar for 5 years and am currently studying at the Berklee College of Music as a guitar principal! I will take time to get to know where students are in their guitar playing, whether they have never touched the instrument before or are simply looking to learn more. This will help students learn guitar in an efficient and effective manner, and will get students to work on what they need to work on. Along with playing techniques, I am also well versed in music theory and can teach concepts of music theory during lessons. I am excited to teach the incredibly rewarding art of playing guitar!

I am a musician, music producer, and performer currently attending Berklee College of Music as a guitar principal. I first began playing guitar when I was 14 years old, but it was not until I was 16 that I realized I wanted to pursue music as more than a hobby. Since then, I have learned piano, b

Ready to learn to play blues guitar? This lesson from guitar teacher James W. is the perfect place to start... What is a shuffle, anyway? A shuffle is a rhythm of 8th notes played in triplets, essentially playing 3/4 time over a 4/4 beat to make the music swing. Blues, pop, jazz, and rock musicians all use the shuffle. The blues shuffle is a fun pattern that is simple to absorb into your playing across many genres of music. Think of pop, rock, big band, and blues as being a part of the s …
