My personal pedagogy is a combination of the basic technical and theoretical aspects of the instrument and what music the student is interested. It is paramount that students of all levels are learning their instrument through performing their favorite music. All necessary technical exercises can be adapted to a specific genre of music. I have many resources and a vast library of literature available for my lessons that I have compiled through my years at Berklee studying with the world's greatest bassists and theorists.
My main goal in every lesson is to be as time efficient as possible. We start with introducing new warm up exercises or new approaches to playing the instrument with confidence and facility. This is important for students of all levels so we can learn the correct ways to execute our favorite music in the most efficient way possible. From there I always spend the most time on the student's goals, like learning a new song or perhaps theory and improvisation. My ...
I began teaching privately in high school at the age of 16, what started as one weekly lesson quickly became several; over that time I developed a strong passion for teaching. Watching a student's talent grow is extremely rewarding to me. Over the past 11 years I have taken my knowledge gained thro

I firmly believe that anyone can learn to sing beautifully. This is possible without a five-octave vocal range. Using the music that you love, I can teach you to sing the way you feel.
A former student of renowned voice teacher Taras V. Leschishin (of the Cleveland Opera Company, Boston Pops, and the Handel and Haydn Society), I can lead you to the threshold of your own mind.
As a singer, bassist, pianist, and composer, my approach to music education is unlike anyone else's. I have performed at the Hard Rock Cafe and recorded with a wide variety of artists. A natural leader and a lifelong scholar, there is nothing more important to me than bold action, the relentless pu

I take a holistic approach to teaching voice. When you sing, your entire body is your instrument, which means that you have to be attuned to your whole body to produce the healthiest, most organic sound. I've been teaching for 13 years, and in that time I've leaned lots of different methodologies. I use a combination of knowledge from my classical training in conjunction with yoga, mindfulness and real world experience to give my students the best path forward in their musical journey. Whether you're just starting out or already a working professional, with my guidance and teaching you'll be making healthier and freer sounds.

Getting ready to buy your first piano, but not sure which manufacturer to look into? Here, St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares a bit about two of the best piano brands... Two of the first questions that I get from parents of my piano students are "What kind of piano should I get?" and "What are the best piano brands?" The facts of the matter are that our modern piano is a 19th century invention about which many people, even pianists, don't know a lot about, and the curren …
