I teach general piano lessons since 2010.With every new student our mutual journey into the world of music begins from the very basic stage; we begin with discussing student's proper sitting position at the instrument, basic introduction sessions on the general buildup of the instrument, its keyboard layout, and proceed, gradually, to the notation symbols on the music staff introduction to the student. Through the diligent preliminary talk we will discuss various aspects of interest that my students have developed in relation to playing piano, so we could plan and design our future lessons according to an initial discussion. My job and responsibility will be to make an intelligent assessment of my students' natural abilities for the given subject of study, to create vigorous learning atmosphere during our meetings, and to give my students professional instructions to the best of my humble abilities, for the benefits of their musical , aesthetic, and personal development. I will ...

Ms. Karen did a pretty good job, she had ideas for the lesson and provided ideas for the next lesson. She went out of her way to help me with this new idea---------"music" and "reading music." If there was any short fall in the lesson it was on my side and my preparation failings. I have no problem recommending Ms. Karen to others. Regards, JC

Extremely knowledgeable! Karen is a superb guitar instructor. Honestly, I was struggling. Discouraged! She helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses, and moved me from beginner to intermediate in a matter of months. If you’re getting tired of learning from YouTube and smart phone apps, let Karen kick start your guitar playing. You’ll be glad you did. Thanks Karen!!

Stephen's a great instructor both from a technical and personable perspective.

He's got a cornucopia of musical knowledge that's evident from how speaks to how he teaches. If you like any film score, chances are he knows how to play it.

Speaking as a beginner, I can say he's been very patient and knows a bunch of exercises and books to learn everything thing from theory to practical pieces to finger exercises.

He provides constructive guidance on what you're doing wrong, and I'm happy to see myself improve under his tutorage. (oh and if you're a sci-fi fan, you'll have a lot in common with him)

"Young Yoo is an outstanding piano instructor! She is very skilled at teaching and very patient. I am a mature adult learning to read music and play piano. My former teacher would scold me and make me feel as though I was a small child. I was so happy when I found Young Yoo for piano lessons. She is able to give me constructive feedback while still encouraging me. She custom tailors the lessons to match my personal goals. I always feel motivated to practice more and never feel discouraged. I'm so pleased that I have been able to accomplish so much progress with Young's guidance. I cannot say enough good things about her! She's very genuine and a super nice person too!!"

"Awesome teacher!

Edwin is a great teacher. He was very patient and encouraging from the start. He has a great knowledge of different styles of music and from day one i was already learning some of my favorite songs that before i could only dream of playing. He breaks down the structure of the song very well so that i can understand what im playing which made the learning stress-free. Would highly recommend to all ages and experience!"

"My daughters love Priscilla. They definitely look forward to their lessons each week. Priscilla tailors the lessons to where each of them is and what they are interested in but also challenges them to try and learn new things. She has them composing their own music including learning how to write notes on a staff. She also invites them to find music that they would like to play rather than "just" relying on the book. Priscilla has an infectious positive energy which we all love to be around."

"Highly recmmended

Farobag Cooper excels with the student who has played the piano over a period of years. Fingering, for example, is adjusted to fit the player's hands rather than the proscribved notations of the publisher. Interpretation is noted and practiced at every moment of the composition often by the instructor then followed by the student. Perhaps what sets Farobag apart is his manner of conducting as one performs. It is a feeling like being in an orchestra with one's personal conductor. But first mastery of score. Then interpretation. Voila! Music."

"Ms. Katarina has been teaching my daughters for over 2 years. She's great! She's extremely flexible, very reasonably priced, and most importantly my kids love her. She has lots of patient. Not only does she teach the piano, she finds creative ways to teach through games, stories, and even through singing for the kids to remember. One time, on a cruise my 8 year old was having long conversation with the musical director about her favorite composers. It was pretty impressive because she knew where they lived, habits, if they were blind, if they could read, and even how many kids some of them had. Yes, she impressed him!"

"I have Rosita for different classes for both piano and singing. And when I'm not able to go to her home studio she gives me the option to do the online lessons when I travel! And it has been a wonderful experience. I learn so much. I was very hesitant in trying online lessons. The way that Rosita does them is amazing! You receive copies of the slides that she goes over in class. If you are looking for an online teacher, pick her!"
