I began playing the piano when I was 3 years old in Japan. I have the Yamaha certification of piano instructor, which I passed the exam when I was 16. I played in many music festivals held in the city as the pianist and competed in many youth competitions.
I was diagnosed with tendinitis when I was 15 and I was unable to play competitively after that. However, I still enjoy playing the piano and love teaching the joy of being able to play the piano to let the heart out. It’s relaxing and exhilarating at the same time.
In addition, practicing the piano is great for brain development especially for younger children. However, it doesn’t matter if you are young or old, playing the piano is great for brain health and mental health as well. I look forward to working with kids, adults or seniors!

You walk into your sheet music store and start browsing. You look at the method books, technique books, repertoire… and then your eyes see something else. A piano fake book allows you to read and play music on your piano. But unlike your typical books, which contain the score as written by the composer or arranger, a fake book is more of a …
