Anyone who can teach me the intricacies of the clarinet deserves a prize. Tyreese qualifies. Tyreese is patient, detailed, and of course, very knowledgeable. He's just very good at teaching music and I made progress that frankly surprised me. Of course I recommend him. I'm glad I had the opportunity to study clarinet with Tyreese.

Hello! I've been performing for 21 years and teaching for 15 years. Teaching has always been a passion for me! Whether you're an adult trying the violin or viola for the first time, or a dedicated student aiming to major in music, I can adapt my approach to suit your needs. I will help you build confidence in your playing through presenting attainable goals each week, while also providing appropriate challenges. I aim to help you feel comfortable and natural as you play by prioritizing proper posture and technique.

I have a Master's degree from the Peabody Conservatory in Violin Performance with an emphasis in pedagogy. I have performed in the U.S.A. and Europe, with well-known artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzahk Perlman, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. My teacher training includes the Suzuki method (registered for books 1-5) and the Mark O'Connor method (certified for books 1-2).

My hope is that the violin or viola becomes a constant source of inspiration and ...

Mrs. Hammonds is such a wonderful teacher! I came to her when I just started high school and was overwhelmed with joy when I found such a great teacher. Focusing on memorization, technique, and working on a solid foundation even after playing for 10 years prior, really reflected in my playing. I think she was the teacher who really showed me why I wanted to play violin and set my foundation up to improve more and more even today!

Leeora has been teaching piano and voice to my 20 year old son for over a year now. She is the first teacher who has inspired him to pursue his music. My son Graham is progressing well and for the first time practicing between lessons. Leeora is very reasonably priced. She really cares about her students. Leeora is a wonderful, patient, talented music teacher. She is the most effective music instructor my kids have ever had.

I can't say enough about how much both of my daughters enjoyed taking lessons from Ms. Leeora for many years! They began at ages 4 and 5 and learned a great deal and never complained and thoroughly loved going to lessons, practicing at home, and performing.

Ms. Leeora was beyond patient and went above and beyond by breaking down songs my girls liked so they could play them. I was always amazed at how quickly my girls began to play songs and it was all due to Ms. Leeora and her ability to make it fun for them and to cater to their specific individual needs.

I HIGHLY recommend her as a teacher. She is always professional and caring and truly loves to teach. You will not be disappointed!

To Whom It May Concern:

It has been a pleasure to have Ms. Leeora K. teach my son how to play piano for two years. My son developed a positive relationship with Ms. K. He excelled in piano under her direction. Ms. K. is a responsible, kind, thoughtful, and professional piano instructor that we were blessed to have worked with. I appreciate that Ms. K. is passionate and caring about teaching my son and others how to play the piano.

I believe that Ms. K. would make an excellent candidate for any work position that she seeks because she is a friendly, helpful, and reliable person. I highly recommend Ms. K! Please feel free to contact me if you should need further information.

Throughout my time at Berklee, NEC, and now Juilliard, I have studied with many great teachers and musicians from Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Henderson, Kenny Barron, Tiger Okoshi, John McNeil, and Laurie Frink to Jerry Bergonzi, and Miguel Zenon. The diverse subjects we went over in lessons and classes gives me a unique knowledge of certain styles and musical ideas. "Sue is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her to anyone. I'm in my late 20's and have never played a musical instrument in the life, but I was eager to learn. After looking at many teachers I decided to take lessons with Sue and I couldn't be happier. I've taken 3 lessons with her so far and plan on taking more in the future.

Although we follow the lessons in a piano book Sue adds additional insight and helpful tips about the lesson at hand. She gives you tips on finger positioning, keeping the same pace while playing songs, and much more that you can't get from just a book. Even if you plan on learning mainly through a book I'd suggest taking a few lessons from Sue as well to compliment your study habits and to make sure you're learning everything correctly. Sometimes she also provides some interesting information about the song you are learning like it's backstory and it's popularity which I find great additional information.

Sue is very patient and lets you learn at a pace that is comfortable for you. I've never felt any pressure while taking a lesson and enjoy the setup she has in her home. Again, if you are looking for a piano lesson, no matter your experience level, I think you'll be happy having Sue as a teacher."
