The techniques that I employ will allow the singer more ease of vocal production and therefore an enhanced quality of sound. This leads to an Improvement in both tone and pitch.

I am an experienced composer and performer so I was looking for someone who would focus in on the technical aspects of singing, with an emphasis on proper breathing, and could help me expand the possibilities of my voice and Timothy gave me all the answers and more. Any issue I had, he had a way to explain it that instantly clicked and he was always probing my experience and asking good questions to make sure I was grasping the concepts so I'd be able to practice effectively on my own.
I've had a lot of lessons with a lot of different teachers privately and through university and I am not being hyperbolic when I say that Timothy is one of the best, most insightful, generous teachers that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I hope I have the opportunity to work with him again one day and continue my journey with my voice, which is a markedly better joinery thanks to Timothy.

The goal of training the voice is to create a strong, unified sound through the entire range of the voice. With regular practice and training, the quality of the voice will improve, the range will expand and you will become a more confident performer.
About Robert
A native of Chattanooga, TN, Robert T. has been hailed by critics as a “sonorous-voiced” bass-baritone with “rich tones” who creates “a solid foundation for the entire performance.” That’s the first sentence of my professional biography. I thought I'd use it to get the ball rolling. I was

They both have an amazing way of explaining things, and when I have that "a-ha" moment- it is glorious! I've learned more than I ever imagined- I never thought I would ever sing Italian or French! They support exploring different musical styles and genres, and do we ever have fun! It is my weekly therapy, and I am so grateful I found them as my teachers.
I highly recommend them for your mental health, personal development and the pure love of singing.

Singing is a complex coordination of breathing, phonation, resonation and articulation, overlaid with musical and performance layers. This process needs to be guided by an instructor who is knowledgeable in the vocal processes and anatomy, as well vocal styles and performance. Vocal development progresses as the body strengthens and growing musical skills demand more from the vocal instrument. We'll work together to create a voice which works freely to express the musical and emotional demands of the literature, allowing the joy of ...

Ms. Barbara not only has the educational background to help her, but also has a wealth of knowledge thru her personal experience as a musical theatre performer.

About me: I am an actor, dancer, writer, choreographerâ¦an artist; as well as an acting teacher and coach. It's been a life long dream to sing and sing well. I was cast in the chorus as a kid a couple times, but really had no clue about my voice; how it worked or what to do with it. As far as I knew/experienced I was an average to bad singer, with little to no vocal talent. I thought singing was a "God-given gift". You either had "it" or you didn't. I knew my Dad could sing, but my mom was a terrified singer and somewhat terrifying to hear. I thought I was somewhere in between, like my eyes, half blue, like Mom, half hazel, like Dad. And nothing I could do about it. Until I met Stephen...
About Stephen: Working with Stephen regularly has changed all of this. Stephen doesn't just magically "get you to sing". HE TEACHES YOU HOW YOUR VOICE WORKS. He helps you to develop what he calls "an intimate relationship with YOUR voice". This knowledge literally takes away the mystery and "magic" of singing. He systematically guides you through a very CLEAR PROCESS that unlocks YOUR voice. And he empowers you to become YOUR OWN TEACHER. Stephen has taught me that MY VOICE IS A MUSCLE, JUST LIKE ANY MUSCLE IN MY BODY. That it can be trained, refined and conditioned, just like any muscle in my body. He got me to believe this through my OWN EXPERIENCE that when I put the work in I WILL GET RESULTS. Just like when I work on my physical coordination and strengthening in Ballet class, my jumps and turns improve; getting higher, more precise, faster, lighter, whatever the case may be, when I work with Stephen on my voice, my range grows, the quality of my vocal timbre gets richer and fuller, there's more ring and resonance; EVERYTHING IMPROVES. Stephen's clear technique has given me great confidence in my ability to sing and to continue to improve as a singer. I highly recommend him to anyone, from absolute beginner to pro. I am truly positive you will be happy with the results. And enjoy the process.
About Stephen's Character:
Stephen is a consummate professional. Extremely reliable, respectful and kind. If I had children of my own, I would feel 100% comfortable sending them to him. I have recommended Stephen to several of my own acting students, as well as fellow dancers and strangers on the occasion that the topic arises. Because I believe in his method and I respect and appreciate the way in which he offers his knowledge and embodies his words.
Stephen is Passionate, Inspired and Inspiring when he's sharing his work with his students. You can tell from his conviction, brilliant insights and compassion that he created his method from his own triumphs and failures, breakthroughs and frustrations as a singer and singing student. It seems he's spent his whole life learning what he's now refined into a very clear method that he can impart to ANY eager student in a very short amount of time. I feel very fortunate and thankful to have found such a gifted teacher."

He is very encouraging and a pleasure to work with. My daughter enjoys her time with him each session."

I leaned so much in a limited time period."

Gabriel was great! The introduction session was the best we have ever had, not our 1st time at this. I was impressed w/ how he coved the basics experience, warm ups, ability to carry a note & what her/our goal was. Also, I was very impressed by his concern for my daughter to discover her own abilities / capabilities. He was genuine & told us what is necessary to improve to a higher level, not always easy, but he is very experienced & she is excited to be his student!
In a word - Gabriel is SUPER!"

He kept her engaged the whole time and she really enjoyed what she was learning. She can't wait for her next lesson with him!"

My child was shy with singing in the beginning. Molly made him feel comfortable over a period of time and now and i see a visible difference.
He also has interests in songs outside of her syllabus and Molly has been very supportive of his music choices and encouraged him to sing his favorite songs as well !
I would recommend Molly to anyone who is looking for a dedicated music teacher !"

Singers, you’re more like an athlete than you might think. Sound crazy? Here, Los Angeles voice teacher Lorna E. shows how you can train your voice with that in mind… Have you ever thought of signing up for a marathon if you’re the type that gets tired running for five minutes? I’d say most people wouldn’t take a chance like that. Many singers, though, believe that they are ready to perform for hours in gigs or rehearsals even without any previous vocal technique endurance.
