When studying with me students will develop the musicianship skills needed to be a well-rounded, real world musician. You will learn music that interests you, as well as, be exposed to genres and music styles you might not be privy to. Your vocal health is of utmost importance to me and we will focus on developing a resonate tone, free of unnecessary tension; In addition to, strengthening your diaphragmatic breathing techniques and aligning your body position. All while developing your sight-reading, music theory, and acting/performance skills and working together to overcome any obstacles you may face in the process.

I've worked with students who came in struggling to find pitch and they've left with powerful voices. I've worked with professionals looking to open a new opportunity and they did. This isn't rocket science, there's no secret formula. But, I do work very hard to help you discover the unique and powerful qualities of your voice. This and proper technique are key.

Hello! It's a pleasure to 'meet' you. I'm David and I've been teaching voice since 1988 from the college level all they way down to little kids! My main goal is to see you singing songs you love, using great vocal technique. I am very supportive and work with beginners through advanced students. Your outcome from lessons with me will be having vocal freedom and confidence in what you are doing. And it will be fun along the way.

Jazz is my specialty (I work constantly as a professional singer in this field), but I am comfortable in musical theatre, 'Classical' and pop/R&B. I am also an expert with young voices (and it's important, because they're different).
