I love teaching students how to play the piano. I enjoy helping them achieve their specific goals. I am all about increasing my students' musicality to the fullest potential. I can help them learn the skill of sight-reading (Imagine knowing how to immediately play a piece of music that you have never seen before!) I can also teach them how to play by ear/improvise
(Wouldn't it be nice to be able to successfully play a song from your brain on your first try?) I'd love to teach you how to play.

I am a second year cello performance major at the University of Georgia and have been playing the cello for over ten years. I have experience performing and practicing in a variety of ensembles and genres (i.e. orchestras, chamber ensembles, jazz, rock/jam bands, bluegrass, pop). I plan to incorporate music theory and ear training into lessons to help my students become more familiar with their instruments and repertoire. I want to encourage innovation and creativity in each of my students so that they can feel comfortable approaching any musical opportunity.

"For those who are interested in learning piano, and composition, I highly receommend Val. As a insturctor who is very skillful, responsbile, yet has a decency and caring heart. He will adjust to your comfortable level of education with a practical advices and sometimes assignments. Coming from very competetive Russian educational background, he understands a hardship and competetive nature. However, he is one of the few instructors who knows a good balance between a compsure and focused trainning. Having said that, I took a quite short lesson with him due to a limited time, however, I did feel productive and fun with his time. If you are determined to learn, I can tell you he would be the best choice!"

She is totally chill. Her spirit, demeanor, personality, attitude, and passion for music shows. You MUST have a session with her. I've never had lessons before, and I am so happy that my dear friend recommended her to me. The BEST decision I ever made. She ROCKS!!! I just love her, plus she is like me. She loves to hug. "I have recently returned from a week long stay at the Sonatina Piano Camp in Bennington VT and would like to notify all those piano students who may read this review as to the wonderful experience attending this camp can be. The camp takes adult piano students at all piano skill levels from beginner to well accomplished. Students stay in shared rooms (2-4 persons) which includes a piano in every room. Attendance is usually 18- 27 persons. The mansion itself is home to approx. 30 pianos. All meals are provided (and are outstanding) as well as piano classes and 4 lessons with concert pianists or university piano professors. Ample time is provided to practice a performance piece for the end of week performance night. Master classes are given on several evenings for those wishing to perform a work in progress piece for the attendees and the camp owner providing a public lesson.
I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com"

"Ahmad is very professional in his approach, he helps you evaluate the course and also tell him more about your goals. I had no knowledge of music at all and He did a god job in giving me some basic music theory crash course along with my daily practice sessions. He tailors the course as per your routine. its never one lesson fit all for him, he will gauge your level of expertise, your short and long term guitar goals(beginner, advanced etc) and then create a custom lesson for you. I really enjoyed and made good progress in a month's time. Thanks Ahmad!"
