Hello everyone, I look forward to working with you! My name is Dr. Jung, and I play and teach violin and viola. I debuted with the Seoul Grand Symphony Orchestra at age 13 and the Rainbow Youth Orchestra at age 14. Since then, I have gone on to win several competitions in South Korea and completed my education in both the Czech Republic and the USA.
In addition to over 10 years of private lesson teaching experience, I am violin faculty at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan and a violin instructor with the Jackson Symphony String Team.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me performing for the “If Music be the Food…Lansing” series and Camerata Michigan, Cello Plus Series directed by Suren Bagratuni. I was concertmaster for the Michigan State Concert Orchestra and have appeared with several regional orchestras, including the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and Midland Symphony Orchestra.
About Sungho
Do you want to learn violin, viola, or both? I can help you with that! I received D.M.A. from Michigan State University. I believe that my years of knowledge and experience will help students to improve their skills and reach their goals. I am excited for the opportunity to discuss how my skill s

Music theory is a practice best understood from the ground up. Depending on where you are, we'll start with the foundations (scales, chords, key signatures, etc), then on to explore voice leading and part writing, and explore techniques used in modern popular and classical music.
I believe it's important for students and teachers to work together based on the students ambitions. Once the basics are established (or already known), we'll explore classical, jazz, rock, or any other genre the student is interested in.
About Jon
I'm a professional performer, educator, and recording artist. I received my Masters in Music from New Mexico State University, and my BA and BME from the College of Wooster in Ohio. Students can expect to improve their technique and performing repertoire within a matter of weeks. We will collabo

As a classical singer who has studied voice for twelve years, I teach with a healthy, free-of-tension approach to singing. I believe that with the right training, anyone can be a singer. My lessons will focus on releasing tensions in the body and maintaining good vocal health, while being tailored to students' needs. I would love to work with students on anything from expanding their range, improving tone quality, diction, repertoire choices, acting, breath support, vocal health, and more.
About Maia
I’m a classical singer and senior undergraduate in the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music working towards a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in vocal performance, specifically opera. It’s my belief that everyone can be a singer, given the right training. Because a singer is their own instrume

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and continuing an emphasis on early childhood development. I started with piano 20 years ago (it’s shocking to see how time flies). Along with my students, I am still learning. It’s a non-stop learning however it is such a remarkable experience. I make sure the student gets the learning they deserve as well as meet their music goals.

Elisa taught my daughter viola for almost two years before she moved West. My daughter start viola when she was six. Elisa was very good with a young novice player - She explained musical concepts at an age appropriate level (but never dumbed things down). We were also pleased that she had high standards in her weekly expectations but always kept things fun and loose so as not to cause stress. Had she not moved we would still be employing her. Elisa is a great teacher."

If you want to learn how to play ukulele, you’re in excellent company. Today’s popular music scene is rife with ukulele players, including Taylor Swift, Eddie Vedder, and Zooey Deschanel, just to name a few. Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro says “ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to play, and you don’t have to be a musician to play it.” But if you’re just starting out, can you really teach yourself how to play ukulele?
