Technique is the key to unlocking your success as a singer. Whether you're a pop star, rocker, rapper, belter, or screamer, a solid foundation and support system will increase your performance potential to their peaks. If you choose to work with me, I will help you achieve your goals by designing a lesson plan and strategy for you. I will teach you what you want to know and use your musical tastes to do it. This is a more general class, so I will be aiming to expand your exposure to new music and expand your general technique. Contact me to talk about your music preferences, goals, and to set up your first lesson.

I have taught students of all ages - 4yrs to 75yrs in private & group voice lessons for years. I studied under Lisa Kelly (formerly of Celtic Woman) & with Anuna (an Ireland-based singing group, & the original Riverdance choir). I worked with the Lisa Kelly Voice Academy in Peachtree City for 1.5yrs and managed the satellite studio in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL for 1 year.
My focus is on building confidence in the individual singer and the mechanics of singing - breathing and posture and placement of the voice in different genres of music. The mechanics of the voice remain the same, but different styles require different control. Let's work on it together!

If you want to learn pop, I'll teach you the same techniques used by Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, Mick Jagger, and more... because I study with their teacher!
If you want to learn Opera, learn to tackle any audition, gig, or recording session just like Marilyn Horne did. I've got exercises from teachers at the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and from Marilyn Horne herself to get you right on top of your game!
I've been singing professionally for 16 years. I've sung my own show at Carnegie Hall. I was Gaston in the national tour of Beauty and the Beast and I never missed one of our 326 shows. I can get you on the Gaston regimen in as little as one lesson.
Please message me with your availability and describe your goals before you purchase a lesson.

Before I started my lessons with Christiaan I would blow my voice out during extended singing sessions and knew I needed to find a vocal coach with the expertise to help me to prevent permanent damage. He quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses and gave me many tools and techniques I never even thought I'd be capable of.
Christiaan has an amazing teaching style and always brings positive energy to each lesson. He knows how to offer constructive criticism in a gentle way that makes you excited to want to do better.
I'm much more motivated and confident as a singer-songwriter as a result of these lessons and I can't thank him enough for bringing that element to my life.
We worked together for a grad school audition for vocal performance. I would not have got the offer without Christiaan. He was super helpful, patient, and really helped me become a better singer/performer! Definitely recommend his lessons!

I believe that singing is about so much. It is a way to express yourself, it is a way to gain confidence, and it is a wonderful discipline. I want to help you find YOUR voice. It would be so much fun to get to work with you on anything you might need: sightreading, Choral solos and music, your favorite pop of country song! Anything that interest you!

My singing lessons are unique because I combine technique with performance, as they are both extremely important and inclusive of the other. I am aware of all genres of music and especially what is current at the moment. I am currently graduating from Berklee College of Music and I attended the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami for three years as a Music Business major with a minor in Contemporary Songwriting. I am a songwriter as well so I am very open and encouraging of students bringing in their own songs, as well as willing to help them with writing. I currently perform, record, and songwrite myself so my students can have a live example of what it means to be a young independent artist in the music business today. Aside from music, I also have been training in film acting and video editing -- all further creative forms of expression that I am here to answer questions for.

Marjorie has a wide range of students, from beginners to advanced. One thing you can be certain about her is that she has a passion for teaching and loves teaching beginners. The commitment to help you improve is there. In my opinion, that is what you want in a teacher. I have the utmost confidence in recommending Marjorie to someone who is looking for a teacher."
Wendy is probably the most professional and talented voice teacher I have worked with in my time singing. She was able to quickly diagnose and help me begin to address difficulties I was having, but was also very proactive in helping me find repetoire that I enjoyed and that meshed well with my voice and my musical interests. She is extremely knowledgeable about the mechanics of singing, as well as the interpretation of song, and really challenged me to think through my singing in a way I hadn't before. Thanks!"

For the professional singer, an injury to the voice can be devastating. Resolving such injuries can require any number of measures, ranging from vocal rest and therapy to surgical intervention. There is a common misconception that vocal injuries, such as vocal nodules, are solely the result of poor vocal technique or vocal abuse. While this is not always the case, this misunderstanding has created a stigma against singers with vocal nodules, which can make dealing with such an injury even more d …
