Since earning my degree in Instrumental Performance/Jazz Studies from University of the Arts in Philadelphia, I have been performing and teaching professionally. I have had the pleasure of studying and working with some of the finest musicians. Each day brings new and exciting challenges to be met. I have really enjoyed the journey to this point and am looking forward to more great things in the future. My lessons are available to anyone who wants to grow musically. Andrew naturally has an ear and talent for music, always has. His passion for music started self taught and advanced throughout his professional career. His music range is wide spread stylistically, thus as a teacher he can focus on many different areas with each of his students. His improvisation skills are effortless both on stage and in our jam sessions. Andrew has a way of teaching that makes learning music very approachable. He is patient and well thought out about the process. Always fun to watch on stage and a joy to work with.

Andrew is a fantastic teacher!
He will go at your pace and make sure he is focusing on what you really want to accomplish. not to mention he is an actual gigging musician so he plays a lot. If you want to play in a band or play with a group he has feedback on that information for you as well!
I personally don't think you could go wrong with a teacher like Andrew.

Matthew S.

Levittown, PA

About Matthew

I started playing trumpet in grade school and was in the marching band the first year of high school. I then switched to playing upright bass in the orchestra. This led to me being a part of the jazz band and playing instrumentals for school musicals. Upon graduation time, I received the gold medal for music performance in strings. I was also an AP music theory student. After, I pursued a bachelor's degree in music and took education courses. I have tutored music theory and given instrument lessons, but they were always self employed or from the university. I wish to help others make music an enjoying part of their lives, as it is in mine. *** Lesson Details *** For lessons, I like to get a feel of the student's current abilities and then start from there. Amanda is a fabulous patient teacher. Although my son (15 years old) only took a few lessons with her, the background musical foundation she taught him can be applied to whatever musical area he finally settles on.

She is the absolute best! Not only does she help build a foundation, but also helps the student achieve their goals. She is patient and always has a different way to explain things, if you don't understand. I would recommend her to any person, of any level, interested in getting a singing teacher.

Rachel is wonderful for so many reasons. She allows her students to feel comfortable and fills them with confidence. It had been over 6 years since the last time I sang publicly and I came to Rachel very nervous and filled with stage fright. With her as my vocal coach I am now more confident and a much stronger singer then I could have imagined and this is only after working with her for less then a year and I can not wait to see what she has in store for me next. She is truly a gifted teacher.
