Beginning piano. Studying piano with me is helpful if you like to sing and/or if you want to play without thinking a lot about music theory. I can get your playing to a certain level, where you are able to play songs in a few styles, sing while you are playing, play with ease, write your own compositions and have fun while you are making music!

About Christine
Christine has been a professional in the theatre since 1992. She received her training from Boston Conservatory and New York University and has been a company member in Tony-award winning regional theatres.

Christine specializes in vocal production, has a three-octave range and is adept at various character voices, accents and musical styles. She has sung in several musicals, wedding and church bands, and has given several solo performances since her childhood.

Christine's personal developments are around creating new musicals, composition, songwriting and exploring fusion methods in several musical styles including pop, jazz, rock, blues, neo-soul, new age, electronica, experimental and ethnic music.

Christine also plays piano, rhythm guitar and percussion, and has served as a director, soloist and accompanist for severa
l churches and community efforts.

*** Lesson Details ***
Making music and singing should be fun, and everyone deserves to have a great experience with their instrument for the rest of their lives. I take pride in guiding my students in exploring their potential in a safe, creative and non-judgmental environment. My students will learn to develop courage and confidence, grow their ears and appreciation for music in all its forms, and expand their range, power and musical skills.

Your lessons will be tailored according to your goals, dreams and personal motivation. I will offer you resources and show you how to use research as way to become independent when preparing your lessons, auditions and performances. If you are an aspiring guitarist/songwriter, I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar and offer you fun techniques to build those callouses, play rhythmically with confidence and coordinate your playing with your singing.

Whether you are completely inexperienced, naturally gifted, shy, ambitious about a professional career or just looking for an outlet that feels good, I am here to help you. You will not only learn technical skills and many tricks for beating stage fright and crafting a performance, but you will also learn to share your unique personality on stage, and learn to perform with feeling, heart and honesty.

Everyone has something beautiful and wonderful to offer the world and I look forward to meeting you and discovering your special voice and sound!

*** Studio Equipment ***
My lessons are conducted in my home in an open living room area. I have a keyboard and a guitar. You must bring your own guitar (an acoustic or acoustic electric - sorry, I do not teach lessons with electric guitars) and, if you have "accompaniment" karaoke CDs (or mp3 on your phone or laptop) and/or sheet music that you have been working with, I encourage you to bring those.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Home lessons are negotiable and I would bring a guitar and/or a percussive instrument. Your home must have a room where lessons can be conducted free from distraction (incl. pets and siblings) and have enough space for exercises and instruments. It must also be in-view of the family and have an open. Group lessons are negotiable. :-)

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in singing, songwriting, voice, speech and acting. I also teach beginning lessons in guitar and piano. Other specializations: International Phonetic Alphabet, Accent Reduction, Musical Theatre, Classical Theatre (Shakespeare, Greeks), Movement Theatre (Mime, Period Movement, Stage Combat), Singing Styles (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classical, Gospel, Musical Theatre, Sacred Chant).

Lily has been teaching violin to my 10 years old son for the past 10 months. We find her to be kind, patient, positive, and understanding. She is not overly strict nor critical, which fits well with my son's personality. She is mind-mannered so we do not feel pressure or discouraged when you are just learning and making mistakes. We are pleased with the progress my son has made in the past 10 months.

Over the last 10 years I have tutored all ages for piano and Japanese and learned how to be patient, persistent and to just be able to adjust and accommodate to different kinds of learning styles and abilities. I realized that it’s important to have a structure in your teaching styles and have clear expectations, standards and goals. Making certain modifications to your teaching styles along the way is crucial as well to meet individual student needs. Mr.Chaz is really dedicated to his profession. He started to teach my seven year old son over one year ago and he has motivated him to sing his best and he started piano with him last year which has been a phenomenal experience for my son. Chaz really focuses on the detail, theory and groundwork necessary to excel in music. If you are lucky enough to get your child started with him you will never regret the experience. He is simply the best! My son sings all the time now and loves to play piano. I am so happy for my son to have found someone to expand on his talents!

Comprehensive piano lessons that combines structure with creativity.

About Kate
Greetings! My name is Kate and I began writing songs before I could write words! At a young age, I started singing in local choirs and taking piano lessons in order to expand my musical horizons. I began taking voices lessons at the age of fourteen and released my first solo album at the age of sixteen. I performed in musicals and plays, and decided to pursue my degree at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I graduated in 2011 with a BA in Vocal Performance and have been touring, performing, writing, and teaching ever since. I have over five years experience teaching private voice and piano lessons. My teaching approach relies on communication, creativity, and accountability. Seeing my students succeed brings me joy! You can expect a lesson with me to be filled with smiles and positivity, all the while imparting knowledge and te
chnique to build a strong foundation. Thank you for perusing my profile- I hope to hear from you soon!

Superb, ethereal, and incredibly altruistic are just a few words to describe Kate. I have been taking lessons from her since September of 2016 !and she's been nothing but encouraging and patient. She is open to all styles of music and has pushed me to express my most natural voice. We've worked on songs I've written in the rock and roll format as well as soulful expressions by way of the Four Tops. Recently we've started on a Brazilian song called "Águas de Março". After all these months I've felt improvement in my voice.

Additionally her schedule is flexible as well if you need to make last minute changes. On another note she is a beautifully magnificent and compassionate person worth giving a chance to unleash the beauty within you!

Thank you as always Kate you are da bomb diggity!

I love teaching piano because it was my first instrument at 2 years old. I have been playing since before I could talk so it is my best form of expression. The most important thing about teaching is remembering that the student wants to enjoy what they're playing, and they are learning because they ENJOY MUSIC.

I would love to help you play, write and perform your own music!

About Kyle
I began learning piano at 2 years old and started teaching at the beginning of high school. During high school, I picked up percussion and guitar and started writing and singing my own music. In 2012 I joined a world class indoor drumline and played keyboard, placing 11th in the world. The beginning of last year, I was given the opportunity to teach a group piano class to adults with developmental disabilities.
