My nine year old son and six year old daughter enjoy learning how to sing with Miss Michelle. I have watched my son and daughter grow from their shyness to becoming more confident performers. It has also inspired my children to become braver with their choices in other areas of their lives. Miss Michelle is a truly gifted teacher who we recommend highly to anyone seeking to become better vocally.

There are so many colors to the human voice. Unlike most instruments, the human body does not show us what note we are playing or how the air is inhaled in to our stomach. So we end up feeling our way through, using our imagination. This is where the magic happens. In class and outside of it, muscle memory takes its natural course and we begin creating a unique and practical "navigation map" of your voice.
Whether you feel like letting out some steam, working on those high notes or designing your own sound; I am excited to meet you! I have studied (and still studying - learning is endless...) many different techniques and am very committed to sharing what I know with patience and passion.
Lessons are flexible, fun and fit for the students needs.

I just had my first lesson with Ariella, and I can already tell she loves what she does, and it's truly a blessing to be working with her.

I am thrilled to be working with Ariella Edvy in my quest to learn Hebrew. Her approach of using music and video clips to teach make her lessons fun and relevant. But there are two things that really set her apart -- her art of teaching elocution (she makes you feel it!) and her way of modeling her lessons to each individual's learning style.

Luther stays where I’m at and then helps me go the next step. That is useful for consistent gradual progress without the frustrations of moving either too slow or too fast (I am a beginning tenor saxophone player). Nice interpersonal style, patient and easy going, while methodical.

I think Luther is great. He works with my 10-year old son on piano, singing and even trumpet and violin as needed. My son has to work hard to progress, and Luther customizes the lesson plan for him and seems to understand him well. I'm really excited about them working together.

My daughter really enjoyed Kayla's lessons. She feels that her natural ability for singing was enhanced through her lessons. We definitely recommend her services.

Kayla is very informative and descriptive about how the body works in producing sound. She not only showed technique but also gave some easy tips on how to improve. Best of all, I finally understand how a raspy sound can occur without damaging the voice! This is a thing I've found difficulty in finding online, in a way that does not damage your vocal cords. All in all, a fun teacher and I recommend her, especially if you like rock/metal as she seems to have a great knowledge of this form of vocals.
Lindsey
Kayla is very thorough and knowledgeable. She made sure to finish the lesson, even going over a minute or two. Look forward to my next few lessons.

"Amber is our church's music director and as a member of the worship team I have had the opportunity to observe her interact with students, including my wife. Needless to say, I was quite impressed with her abilities. But, I didn't realize the scope of her wonderful expertise until I began taking voice lessons from her. The awesome thing about Amber is her ability to interact with the student on the student's level. In other words, Amber has the wonderful ability of sharing her musical expertise by teaching in such a gentle, encouraging and patient manner that makes taking lessons from her a joy and privilege. Although, her knowledge of music is second to none, she teaches in such a gracious manner that the student doesn't feel like they are being talked-down-to."

"First lesson was impressive. George is clearly fluent in the language of music. He was able to identify problems with my singing (which were not exactly what I thought they were)and give me solutions for them. He explained this to me in terms I understood. The hour with him was the most targeted constructive time I’ve had in my journey to become a singer. For lesson one, you can’t ask for more than that."

"As a student in NYU, Shelley was my third or fourth musical instructor. In general, what I have seen is that musical instructors have a great talent and knowledge in their given field, but I found that their knowledge wasn't clearly disseminated to me. However, specifically in terms of voice lessons, Shelley was able to tailor the lessons to who I was as a person. She combined her knowledge with my interests to help me learn how to best use my voice. For example, I love ASL and have foundational knowledge in the language. At the beginning of most lessons, Shelley and I would check in with each other and would make sure we are both doing ok (that the stresses of the week didn't bring us down). This is how Shelley began to learn of my interest in ASL, and used it in our lessons. ASL is a beautifully emotional language that requires you to paint a picture. And when I sang, Shelley told me I needed more emotion; I needed to paint the picture. So she told me to sign the song in ASL. This is just a long winded way of saying Shelley will learn your voice/personality, and she will use all her techniques to make you the best you! I miss my lessons with her because they were therapeutic for me. Today, I have a better understanding of my voice and it capabilities. #MoreAir #CreateSpace #SingOut #BECONFIDENT #Music=Therapy"
