Learn to develop a healthy technique for singing with proper vowels, breathing, space, and placement. Gain confidence in your voice and sing the songs you love!
About Erin
I teach voice lessons to kids, teenagers, and adults, ranging in ability from beginner to experienced. I have helped the beginning students learn to match pitch and read notes on the staff. My voice students learn to sing with purer vowels, increased breath support, and to access greater vocal range.
I teach beginning piano to all ages. I teach students as young as 5 as long as they are able to stay focused for the duration of a half hour lesson. Most of my piano students are in the 7 -10 range, but I teach some beginning adults as well.
*** Lesson Details ***
Voice students will learn to improve their technique through proper breathing, correct vowels, space, and resonance. I teach repertoire ba
Piano students will learn to read music, play with correct form, learn scales, and improve their musicianship skills. I teach out of lesson books (mostly Faber) to improve technique, but I want students to learn supplemental pieces that are fun for them as well. For piano beginners, I recommend 30 minutes. Once the student is a little more experienced, I like to have them for 45 minutes.
I hope to share with you the same joy I get from making music!
*** Studio Equipment ***
My studio at home has a piano, my music library, a large mirror for aiding the student in observing their vocal habits.
*** Travel Equipment ***
For in home lessons, students will need to have a keyboard or a piano in a space free of distractions. Students should have a neat, three ring binder to hold any loose sheet music. Piano students need a regular notebook to write lesson assignments.
*** Specialties ***
I specialize in teaching classical art songs and musical theatre.

All that I request from a student is a desire to learn. I will work with you at your pace to achieve the musical goals you have. Each student begins at a different level.
The first lesson will focus on your musical background. If you are a beginner, that's no problem. I specialize in working with beginning students to teach them all the joy and satisfaction there is in mastering an instrument.
I love to laugh and the lessons are very laid back and fun, but I desire that a student move forward and learn new techniques.
You will be playing simple songs after your first lesson. I'm asked many times by students "how long will it take until I'm good." My answer is: that is in direct proportion to the amount of time you dedicate to practicing. After a month or two, you will know how to read music and have a basic understanding of music theory.
I use various curriculum depending on the student's need. For voice, the curriculum is individually tailored to the students level and ...

I have been helping students discover ease and joy in singing for over ten years, in multiple countries and many different styles. Each journey is different, but I am certain I can help you accomplish your goals. No two voices are alike, and we will work together to discover your particular strengths. Expect to laugh and have a lot of fun along the way!!!
Working with the physical structure of your face and body, we'll uncover ways to free you FROM yourself. Many bad vocal habits are learned through everyday life - together we can identify these to bring you closer to the optimal function of your voice. I will provide a foundation of knowledge for effective breathing and posture, as well as fill your 'toolbox' with many practical methods to alleviate tensions and encourage optimal resonance. As I am an active professional singer, I teach largely through demonstration accompanied by easily understandable technical language aimed to resonate with the student's natural sense memory

Stephanie is patient beyond belief, but also incredibly driven and focused in her teaching technique. My range has expanded, my tone has become warmer, and I'm an all around better musician with her as my teacher. The way she approaches the voice is both confident and very professional, and I would happily recommend anybody to study with her; beginning, intermediate, or advanced. She is a gem!

Whether you are currently a working musician looking to improve your technique/songwriting/harmony skills, or whether you're just working up the guts to sing at karaoke, together we can identify and achieve some tangible goals in a way that's fun and relevant to how you want to practice music in the world. I can help you learn to use your body as an instrument and develop a high quality sound. If you struggle with confidence, we can work with and through emotional blocks to help you better connect with your voice and a sense of expression.
About Julie
SINGING AND MUSIC LESSONS: In addition to providing technical training, I believe that singing is about liberation and expression, and have had successes in helping students to find their unique voices through overcoming vocal anxieties. I both work with students who are preparing for auditions and who play in professional bands, and also with students who have only ev
For those in bands: I specialize in harmony and can do consultation sessions with you and/or your band to help with blending, finding harmonies that work for your respective vocal ranges and for the flow of the song, and teaching skills for finding and building harmonies.
MATH: As a middle and high school student, I didn't believe I was "good" at math. It wasn't until I was an adult and was hired as a math tutor - and later promoted to Assistant Director - of a tutoring company that I realized that was a belief that had held me back. Many kids and young adults struggle with confidence around math, and having had experience with that myself I use tools that help meet students where they're at and support them in building enthusiasm for math and confidence in themselves. In addition to providing tangible math skills (I have not only been tutoring Algebra, Geometry, SAT prep, elementary and middle school math for 5 years, but have also helped run a math tutoring company in which I built year-long curricula for grades K-12), I help students feel that math is within their grasp and can be approached with curiosity rather than fear and low self-esteem.

Erin has always been completely reliable and professional, and an expert communicator. The few times she's ever given me feedback or instructions that I didn't understand immediately, she was able to communicate the idea in another way, and she's always completely open to questions. Working with Erin, my technique, artistry, and confidence have all soared, and each lesson has been a joy. Erin is as knowledgeable as she is talented, and simply a delightful human being.
