"Jennifer is a superb voice instructor.
The moment I walked into my voice lesson last month, she immediately made me feel at home. She welcomed me with wa
rmth and positive energy. Throughout our lesson, she truly listened to my concerns about an upcoming audition in school. She guided me with ease and expertise about how to connect to my breath and use healthy techniques in my performance. I wouldn't want anyone else as a teacher. Truly an inspiration."

"Mr. Octavio knows how to motivate a child. My son gets easily distracted with telling stories, etc and Mr. Octavio is able to get him to focus so well.
He has an excellent combination of firmness with motivation. Plus he really knows how to get my 8 year old to understand lessons. Highly recommend!"

"Ms. Katarina has been teaching my daughters for over 2 years. She's great! She's extremely flexible, very reasonably priced, and most importantly my kids
love her. She has lots of patient. Not only does she teach the piano, she finds creative ways to teach through games, stories, and even through singing for the kids to remember. One time, on a cruise my 8 year old was having long conversation with the musical director about her favorite composers. It was pretty impressive because she knew where they lived, habits, if they were blind, if they could read, and even how many kids some of them had. Yes, she impressed him!"

"I play in a rock band that wanted to add some Sinatra type jazz songs to our repertoire. I was tasked to play bass with which I had very little experience
. I decided to take some lessons with Gary to learn a little jazz theory and technique. He was a wonderful teacher. He focused in on exactly what I needed quickly and pointed me toward resources that I could use to improve. Despite my limited abilities, Gary was always patient and displayed good humor. When I needed him to write a bass line for me quickly so that I could take it on vacation, he made the time to make sure that I had what I needed. I enjoyed our lessons and recommend him highly. Gary is a teacher who truly cares about his students."

"I have known Charley for quite a few years now. He has taught three of my sons to play guitar, both acoustic and electric. Charley himself is a very goo
d guitar player. But it is his easy going personality and the way he relates to the kids that make him the best guitar teacher we could have ever had. My sons have their own band that plays out in public and they are all on worship teams. They have also played at multiple youth conferences in Ohio and North Carolina. I highly recommend him for all children and adults."

Hi I'm a 29 year old professional musician that has worked hard to become a first call drummer for performance, instruction, and studio session work in the Atlanta area. Over the past 5 years I have toured nationally, recorded with countless regional, national and local artists, and have gained a positive reputation in the Atlanta community as a unique, innovative, and passionate drum teacher. I studied music at The University of Mississippi and I am qualified to teach numerous styles including Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Electronica, World and many others. I have years of experience teaching
private and group lessons (I'm a recurring Camp Counselor in Summer music programs). I offer inspired beginning drummers of all ages the chance to learn the art of drum set playing within a basic, relaxed, and fun context.
*** Studio Equipment *** My drum studio includes 2 drum kits to help aid in visual learning, percussion instruments from around the world, a PA system to play along to music and great vibes!
*** Travel Equipment *** For student's home lessons I require at least one drum or drum set.
*** Specialties *** Based within a fun, relaxed context, Casey has developed a natural teaching method that focuses on learning and understanding the building blocks of drum set playing, familiarizing and connecting these building blocks, and applying them to individual expression. He has the ability to take nearly anyone without prior drum set or rhythmic experience, and, within days, turn them into beat playing drummers. His approach focuses on: HAVING FUN, building an understanding and relationship with each drum, the basic rudimentary foundation of drumming, how to approach the drums, hold the sticks, set up the drums, and tune the drums, basic mechanical techniques, development of each limb, learning how to read basic drum charts and play to them, learning and playing the most significant beats and patterns in the history of drum set, and gaining the ability to effectively teach oneself how to improve as a drummer.

Casey is an incredible teacher! Within a few lessons I made an enormous amount of progress all the while having a great time. He is a genuinely kind, personable guy who I would highly reccomend to anyone who wants to learn how to drum, or just wants to better their current abilities!
I am an experienced professional with a background in music performance, education, composition, theory and arranging.
*** Lesson Details *** Few musicians or music students have identical goals, musical interests or physical size. So, It is NECESSARY to customize the course of study to meet student requirements. There are common issues for any serious pursuit of learning involving the guitar; right and left hand technique, fingerboard knowledge, chord knowledge, reading and interpretation.
However, to progress, it is also necessary for the student to practice daily.
I try to maint
ain a healthy balance between the focus on performance and technical issues.
*** Studio Equipment *** 16 Channel Mixer for Recording and Playback 16 Channel Audio Interface for Recording and Playback PA Speaker System 55" Flat Screen display for projection of materials Record to Cassette Tape, and Computer

Ali has had music in her life since she was in the crib. She has performed professionally in the musical theatre world and she has studied in several universities for Musical Theater, Jazz, Pop, Blues, and R&B. Since the age of sixteen, she has been selected to sing as a guest soloist for venues such as Spivey Hall, Georgia World Congress Center, and Georgia Tech Hotel Conference Center. Ali has also sung for many movies and recordings, and recently recorded a demo for David Foster, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli and recently toured as a pianist for "The Women of Ireland." She is a rece
nt graduate of Berklee College of Music and earned her BM in Music Business and Vocal Performance cum laude studying under Magi Scott, Jeff Ramsey, Jerome Kyles, and Carolyn Escoffrey, Donna McElroy, Livingston Taylor, Joan Lader, and Charlie Sorrento.
Ali is also known for playing piano. She received her minor in Piano Performance within a year at Shorter College under Helen Ramsaur. She has been playing since she was five years old and has accompanied many people and musical productions.
Some of Ali's major influences include:
Linda Eder, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, and Lara Fabian, Barbra Streisand
*** Lesson Details *** Ali loves to share her passion of music to the world and especially through her students. She loves to share new ideas and nuances along with the basics and fundamentals of technique. Although practice can be boring for the student, asking a student to pick at least one song to work on can help the student and the teacher have fun and learn at the same time. After a few months, not only will her students have fun, but they will learn how to be a better person and musician.

*** Travel Equipment *** Just the music I assign and their appropriate instrument

Dear Allie, We are so happy to have found you this summer. It is amazing to see Nicholas stay so focused and interested for an hour at the piano. His love of music seems to have grown since we started lessons with you. We really appreciate your capacity to adapt to his needs and to keep him excited. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile- I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals. I'm excited to announce that I'm now available to teach via Skype if you're outside of my teaching radius or are seeking a more convenient alternative.
I'm a professional guitarist with a background in jazz, heavy metal, blues, classical, and bossa nova. In 2006 I graduated from the Berklee College of Music and am lead guitarist for the Atlanta band Leaving Babylon.
Whether you are a beginning guitarist or a seasoned professional, I can expand and enhance your playing in any dire
ction you choose. I look forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about what course of study will bring out not only your understanding of music but a musical style that is unique to you.
Having a long time love of all music I have always enjoyed discussing music and educating others on its many aspects. As such I began teaching during summers home from Berklee and found that it was something I had a great deal of talent for. Now, with seven years of teaching experience behind me, I look forward to bringing my skills and insights to students of all ages and bring not only ability on the guitar but a greater love of music to a fresh crop of open minds!!
In addition to guitar, I am also qualified to teach voice, public speaking, dramatic acting, and all aspects of music theory, the latter of which I incorporate into all of my music lessons.
PLEASE NOTE: I am able to take students either in my home studio or at the student's residence. In both cases students who are under 18 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian present during all lessons. Additionally, please note I have two cats as well, in the event that allergies may be an issue.
*** Lesson Details *** Although I follow a specific lesson plan, its important to customize that to each student's skill level and specific needs. Thus, I will spend the first lesson evaluating where the student is in terms of overall musical awareness, existing skill on the instrument, and long term interest.
By the end of the first month, my beginning students will be able to perform basic chromatic and major scales, name the notes on the instrument, and have command of a few basic chords. With these core concepts and regular, committed practice, they will be able to learn and perform songs in a wide variety of styles after 3 to 6 months have passed.
My more advanced students will have a lesson plan customized to their specific goals and desires. In 3 to 6 months with such a student I will have them well on the path to accomplishing their long term goals, whether those be playing, composition, harmonic awareness, understanding of theory, or all of the above.
*** Studio Equipment *** dedicated music room; cables/amps; electric & acoustic guitars; keyboard
*** Travel Equipment *** Electric or acoustic guitar as needed.
*** Specialties *** Having graduated from the Berklee College of Music, I follow their approach in educating the student. In this regard I teach music theory along with the physical act of playing the guitar, which serves to not only enrich the experience for the student but demonstrate how what they are learning is applied to music on the whole.
I am fluent in many genres and specialize in rock, jazz, the blues, and various fusion genres. Because music functions off of the same principles regardless of genre, I can take whatever style the student might best appreciate and structure my lesson plan around it.

Great Instruction for all levels
I am in my mid-thirties and have never had any formal musical instruction until I started taking lessons with Jordan a few months ago. I was a little nervous about starting the lessons, but Jordan made me very comfortable right away. You definitely can tell he knows music inside and out. He is also very helpful about incorporating just enough music theory into each lesson, so I can expand my knowledge of theory, but not so much that I get overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a great vocal or guitar instructor.

Jordan is an excellent instructor. I'm very pleased with the guidance that I have received thus far. With the limited amount of time spent in a 30min session, we always seem to cover a lot of ground. I would recommend lessons with him for any guitarist looking to take their guitar skills to the next level.

Jordan is very knowledgeable and professional. I am very pleased with his teaching style and making me comfortable learning to play.
MY BACKGROUND: Originally from Port Huron Michigan Ray A. began learning to play the piano at age 5. His formal studies in piano include training at Bellarmine University (jazz studies) and the Naval School of Music (classical and jazz studies). Ray also completed electronics and computer studies DeVry University to stage his background for electronic music and music media.
MY EDUCATOR EXPERIENCE: Ray served as the Music Media/MIDI Specialist and piano instructor at the Naval School of Music during the mid and late 90's and 2010-2014. His expertise allowed him to design develop and impl
ement a music media/MIDI program for the Armed Forces Music Program. This program played a significant role in futurizing the way military musician's train produce and perform music. As a private instructor Ray has continued to developed and influence many musicians at the beginner intermediate and advanced levels of training. His practical systematic and thorough teaching method allows students to develop quickly and rise to their full potential. Retiring from military music recently Ray is busy working on various recording projects and freelancing as a pianist/keyboardist teaching private lessons and providing music media services in the greater Atlanta area.
MY PERFORMANCE: As a performing artist Ray has worked as a professional musician for the last 25 years performing around the world in more than 20 different countries with various ensembles. He has recorded on numerous albums with various artists to include the Army Ground Forces Band, Orquesta Sensacional, and most recently with the Ian Charleton Big Band (Brain Chatter Album available on Spotify). Ray is fluent and proficient in many different styles and genres of music. Specializing in jazz and Latin styles he is truly a master improviser and soloist. Ray's style of playing is influenced by artist like Herbie Hancock Chic Corea Oscar Peterson and Thelonious Monk. Ray has also performed and,or recorded with some of the most accomplished musicians from around the world to include Grover Washington Jr., Hillary Jones, Gerald Chavis, Roy Richardson, Gary Harris, Don Tillman, Brett Anderson, Corey Cross, Alfie Moss, Abdu Salim, Joel Joyner, Dexter Whitaker, Jim Lambie, Jamie Abersold, and Wayne Bergeron just to name a few. He has also had the distinguished honor to perform for former presidents Ronald Regan and George Bush. Ray aspires to be the consummate musician.
FOR BEGINNER PIANO STUDENTS: For students just starting out I use the Leila Fletcher Piano series, John Thompson, or Alfred series. After students are doing establish the basic and are doing well I introduce music theory and technique (scales, basic chords, and technical exercises) as well.
FOR INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED LEVEL STUDENTS: I define intermediate level students as students who already have had 2 yo 4 years of lessons and experience and can already play pretty well. With this level of student I work on strengthening their foundation and rounding out and diversifying their skill set. usually with this level of student they have specific goals in mind that we work towards as well.
The intermediate level is also where various piano and music styles are addressed to include classical, pop, rock, R&B, country, blues, jazz (modern & swing) and Latin, contemporary christian, and gospel. The technical aspects of playing these styles like chords, chord progressions, scales, modes, licks and ornaments, technical exercises, sight reading, lead sheet interpretation, music theory, ear training, playing by ear, song form, and improvisation, intros & endings, and performance concepts and techniques are addressed as well.
OVERVIEW: Overall my students that apply themselves usually progress quickly and exponentially. some of them have went on to be professional musicians and band leaders and have far surpassed their initial intended goals and objectives.

I've had several piano instructors throughout my life and Ray was the best one. He was very patient, knowledgeable and had a passion for music. Because of Ray I was able to get into college with scholarships and further my education. Ray has a great way of balancing what you "need" to know with what you "want" to know. I would recommend Ray for anyone interested in learning music.
