I have never touched a guitar before, but always imagined myself learning to play so this was excited to begin. Neco is very professional and his lessons were very easy to follow, even with me being busy with other things like (work.) I still am nervous but he is encouraging and even when Its something simple he answers questions with alot of patience. His teaching style is fun and I appreciate it and plan to really continue with my learning!

This is our first experience with guitar lessons and this online tool (takelessons.com). We love everything, so far! As for Necovelli, we couldn't be happier with his teaching methods, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and overall experience. My son has progressed through his initial lessons with confidence and is modeling Neco's great attitude. I started at 30 minutes per lesson and it just isn't enough time to get through all the curriculum - so we just increased to 1-hour lessons. We are very happy and would recommend both Neco and this site to anyone thinking of signing up!

About Carrie
*****I don't have a current background check through take lessons but have an active ongoing background check through another employer ******

I've been teaching and performing professionally for over 10 years. I have my BA in music and business. I have had some amazing experiences along the way. I've worked with world renowned vocal coaches, sang at Carnegie Hall, and played on various cds to raise money/awareness for charity projects. I'm grateful for all of this, but I love working with students on their music most of all. It delights me to see a student have an "aha" moment where they realize that they have what it takes to be great. I'd love to work with you, but if I don't I hope you reach your goals and have fun doing it ! ~ Carrie Jo ~

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm a laid back teacher but you will definitely learn
a lot. I just believe if it starts to not be fun, what's the point? Music isn't just about perfect theory and note placement it's about enjoyment. That's why I tailor make every lesson specifically based on my student's goals. I have students that like a more traditional approach so I use standard method books with them. I also have students that want to learn how to play by ear so we use a less traditional method and I teach them chord structures and how to move around easily on their instrument. My favorite thing to teach is vocal lessons but I love teaching piano and guitar also.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons are taught on an upright piano or acoustic/electric guitar. Student should bring own guitar. No pets. Waiting room out front for parents.

*** Travel Equipment ***
They need their own instrument.

*** Specialties ***
I've performed at Carnegie Hall and I've had the opportunity to work with world renowned vocal coaches. I offer that as well as techniques that I've developed to help you reach your goals quickly and with great skill !

Playing music takes a lot of time and patience as well as a lot of practice playing by yourself and in front of people. Professor Elisa corrected the bow technique and solved an injury I had for years in the right arm.
Thanks to her I was able to play the concert of Haydn in C as soloist.
After having had the opportunity to be his student I have improved considerably and managed to expand my sonorous concept considerably.
She is very pedagogic and has a great patience to solve the personal problems that I had from a very empathetic and above all corporal.
Today I can say that to be about to leave the race for my injury I am competing prominently at the national level (Chile)

I've had an amazing experience taking lessons from Sophia! She's taught me so much about breathing techniques and other aspects of singing that I was unaware of prior to our sessions. Sophia is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Each lesson with her builds some more confidence and understanding, and I feel that she's able to explain techniques to a beginner like myself in a very simple way.

I am a producer, and hired Sophia to come to my studio and coach a singer I am working with. She was instrumental in getting the lead vocal takes recorded and creating a positive environment for the singer, which also takes a lot of patience. We got the best takes I've heard from the artist by far. I learned so much in the process as well. Her techniques seem endless in helping a vocalist get the sound they are seeking. She's clearly gifted with an unbelievable and infectious voice which makes learning from her all the more easy and enjoyable. Sophia also has a great ear for vocal production, given her extensive background as a session vocalist. She went to Berklee College of Music so she is also proficient with music theory. On top of all of that she's hilarious and the session was a blast. Highly recommended, she's a monster talent!

It has been a great experience for my daughter working with Sophia. We've tried other singing coaches before but we've hit a home run with Sophia! She has an awesome way of relating to my 16 year old to where every class is a fun and learning experience for her. She's helped her with technique, confidence and vocal exercises that have been extremely helpful! As a Dad that's always looking out for my children's best interest I am truly happy with her services, a true professional! Thank you! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

My name's Natalie, and I'm a voice and flute teacher! I studied Vocal Performance and Flute Performance at the University of California Santa Cruz, and got my Masters of Music in Vocal Arts at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.

I specialize in classical voice and opera, though I believe a good vocal technical foundation is applicable to all musical styles. I also teach music theory, for those just getting into music, and for those who would appreciate a refresher. Since I studied both flute and voice, I am especially well trained in breath management and alignment. The breath is the most important thing in both flute and voice. It's what sends our sound out into the world!

About Johnathan
I'm a drummer from a little town in New Mexico. I've had recording, performing and teaching experience since I was in high school and graduated from Los Angeles College of Music with an A.A in Drum Performance. I also studied Music Education for a year at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA.

My early music experience involves playing for my high school choir as well as leading worship in churches. I also played in local bars and pubs. In terms of drums I was completely self taught until college and also picked up other instruments on the side like guitar, bass and ukelele. The music I played ranged from CCM all the way to indie rock and punk as well as world music and classic rock n roll. My fondest music memories growing up were nights like playing Brown Eyed Girl in a old railroad cafe or playing John Mayer at a rodeo.

Once I graduat
ed high school I knew I wanted to learn music theory so I spent my first year studying music education at Whitworth. Even though academics weren't my favorite thing I learned a lot and took those lessons to LA a year later. I would encourage anyone pursuing music to work in Los Angeles. I made the best connections and lifelong friendships there and never had a dull day. I played shows and recorded with friends and even taught a drumline in Hollywood. I've attended and performed at places like NAMM, Comic Con and MUSEXPO in Hollywood. All of my teachers at LACM were working musicians as well. Some of the people I studied under includes Ralph Humphrey, Joey Heredia and Russ Miller.

In my lessons I always take a practical approach and build my lessons around the student. If you want to learn metal music, I will teach you how to function in a band setting and play fast. If you want to learn how to read charts, I have many books that I can recommend and teach out of. I hope that all my students can strive to learn discipline but also remember that music is a communication and conversation tool.
