Always wanted to learn to play piano? Now is the time! My name is Jerry S. and I am an experienced, patient, gentle teacher, with over 20 years teaching and performing experience. As a performer, I have shared the stage with such recording artists as Herbie (Watermelon Man) H., Mary Wells, Jessi
I think he has students that range from age 7 to 70!
We love Jerry, he is part of our family and my kids absolutely love having him as a teacher!
Jerry is a very skilled pianist and phenomenal piano instructor! Don't let his reasonable rates fool you into thinking that the quality of his teaching is anything less than spectacular. He thoroughly enjoys teaching piano lessons and music theory in many genres to people of all ages, paces himself to assist in your level of understanding, and makes learning to play the piano fun.
My eight year old daughter got a keyboard for Christmas so I decided to get her piano lessons to accompany her new instrument. I began searching for a local piano teacher who was reasonably priced, yet, also experienced with teaching children, and I couldn't have found a better person to do so than Jerry S!
My child had been previously diagnosed with ADHD and ODD so she tends to be very distracted, rambunctious, inquisitive, and defiant at times, however, it's never seemed to phase Jerry at all. He was open minded and seemingly very understanding of her condition. He is very friendly, easy going individual who has always been extremely patient with my child, despite her occasional outbursts.
In conclusion, I honestly feel that we are truly fortunate (and blessed) to have found such an amazing piano instructor, for an affordable rate, who's patient and keeps the student engaged, while also making it a fun filled learning experience to play the piano!

Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from The University of Akron
You can play what you can hear. I work on developing the student's mental concept of how a particular piece of music sounds. This solid musical thinking translates into a reliable technique. Technique should come naturally and not be overly thought, but I will explain what seems to work for me and analyze the student's playing.
Beginning students might start with a method such as the well-known 'Piano Adventures'. Most lessons include some study of theory or harmony. More advanced students will work on progressively more demanding literature.
My adult students say I am insightful.
I am a musician with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. I studied with Philip Thomson, Laura Silverman, Douglas Hicks, and Eugene Mancini. I have experience teaching young children, older adults, and those in between. I am patient and encouraging. Presently, I am available to teach online

My approach is best defined with one word: natural. Everything about you is unique, including your voice. Imitating denies this simple fact. So I'm all about stripping away all imitation, getting you in touch with your voice and then making that signature voice of yours strong and flexible. Your voice should be as unique as you are. I work with all levels and if you don't like my lessons - I will give you your money back.

For two years I've been taking lessons with Ahmad every week or two and have found a lifelong hobby. Ahmad has been patient and understanding to my level of ability and has guided me to not only improve dramatically my level of playing, but also has taught me the basic fundamentals of music which makes me appreciate listening to and playing music more than I ever had. Ahmad is a gifted teacher who can quickly uncover and fix fundamental problems with technique and builds lesson plans to teach one how to play the guitar as a musical instrument.
I am so happy I found Ahmad. He has given me a lifelong passion to improve my playing and a deeper understanding of the music I've loved my entire life. If you've ever thought about learning the guitar, do yourself a favor and see Ahmad now."
Good lessons. Work well with kids. Our schedule is hard to match but we manage to make it work. Thanks Julia!"
From the great, useful warmups to the very insightful critiques, Benjamin has taught me a lot about my own voice and what I have to work with. I've improved drastically over the last few months, and his suggestions and ideas about how to approach various singing techniques are without a doubt the reason why.
I look forward to continuing my lessons with Benjamin, and I have very high hopes in myself as an artist after learning from him a great deal about what it takes to be a good singer!"
What's the key to being the best vocalist you can be? Before you begin learning to sing, make sure you have the right attitude! Here, Tucson, AZ and online teacher Lourdes C. explains what that means... I have been engaged in vocal training now for two decades now and, without fail, at a particular stage in their training all my students experience the same roadblock: like clockwork, they stall when they realize that learning to sing requires a thicker-than-thick skin. It starts …
