Anthony G.

Pico Rivera, CA

About Anthony

As a third generation musician, I've been playing professionally and teaching for over 25 years. I've had years of private lessons, graduated from GIT in Hollywood, taken college music courses and continue to perform, record, and teach music. YOU can have fun, learning songs that YOU like, or you can learn music theory (the explanation of music) or study different styles from rock to pop to hard core to blues, funk etc. All at YOUR pace. Many of my students, started from the point where they had never picked up an instrument and have gone on to tour or earn full music scholarships. It doe
sn't matter if it's a young girl wanting to learn some Disney Artist or some burly blue collar worker wanting to learn some Clapton: YOU can have fun learning guitar while improving at a rapid rate. Contact me, I'll make learning music and guitar a very painless process.

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm serious and passionate about my students learning their instrument and becoming great musicians, however, I also want it to be an enjoyable process. You should look forward to your lessons but know I'm going to expect you to practice as well. I use a combination of my own curriculum and books that are based on the fundamentals of music. We can learn to read tablature or read traditional music. A excellent way to pick music at a quick pace is by learning songs in the style you like, while learning about the keys, scales, arpeggios, and chord construction once you're able to play some songs. After 3 or 6 months you will be playing a basic repertoire of songs that interest you while continuing to progress at a steady pace in the understanding of music.

*** Studio Equipment ***
North County Rehearsal Studio is a rehearsal hall with private lesson room, we have the amps to plug into and audio equipment so we can listen and learn from the music YOU like!!!  I can also come to YOUR house if the rehearsal located in Brea is too far.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect my students to have a guitar or bass so they can practice at home with. I could bring or provide a small practice amp and a music stand and some study materials. I teach in Orange County and I live in L.A County so If I need to come to your house I can cover a big area.

*** Specialties ***
During the course of my 20 plus years of teaching, I have had to teach individuals of all levels. I have had to teach little girls Hanna Montana, and blue collar workers--Eric Clapton. Styles include, Rock, Pop, Metal, Jazz, Rockabilly, Country, Spanish, Beginning Classical and ETC!

He is cool and nice, able to get you through all kinds of difficulties of learning guitar. Give hime a shot, if you really want to play guitar. He is better than any Youtube or on-line stuff.

My teaching method is from The Juilliard School of Music, lessons are specifically designed to fit individual students age, background, strength and personality. In my classes, not only students are taught how to play the violin, they are also taught ear training, sight-reading, music theory, and performance skills; Most important, students are also taught self-confidence, discipline, appreciation of the arts, and the pride that comes from a job well done.

Every year, my students have the opportunity to perform in different concert settings, participate in our annual summer concerts, take national music exams, and audition with many orchestras and music schools.

I really appreciate Lucy Lu, my violin teacher. she is what one would expect for a violin teacher specially if you're like me 68 years and no experience whatsoever with the instrument. Had I stayed in Los Angeles, I see no problem in continuing taking lessons from her because I know that sooner or later, I would learn despite my busy schedule as a tax accountant. Thank you Lucy. I will miss you.

Lucy is a great teacher

I have been taking lessons with Lucy for about 6 months now and she has been an amazing teacher. She is very patient and professional. She has taught me quite a bit in regards to playing the violin. If I hadn't moved I would still be taking lessons with Lucy.

Christopher I.

Arcadia, CA

About Christopher

My interest in music began when I began playing the trumpet at the age of 10. I always wanted to create my own music which led me to form a rock band. With a borderline electronic style, we were booked to play various nightclubs in Hollywood which got me hooked on house music. After starting to produce house music full time, I began my career as a touring producer/dj. I have worked with top management and booking agencies (APA, The Agency Group, Circle, etc).

I have toured all over North America, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and South Korea, performing at various electron
ic music festivals.

Official remix credits range from artists like Cypress Hill, Rusko, Damian Marley, Steve Aoki, Zedd, Chuckie, Robbie Rivera, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and several others.

Chris is nothing short of legendary in the music business. An Ableton Live aficionado, Chris has written hundreds of tracks and performed around the world as Cold Blank, and his experience shows! It takes a special kind of personality to succeed in the music industry, and one of the key facets is patience. Luckily, patience is what makes an amazing instructor as well.

Having sat in private 1-on-1 sessions with Chris, I can say that I learned more about the music industry and production process than I could ever have imagined! He is very deliberate and meticulous, and his perfectionism shows in his work. Having had Chris as a mentor and instructor has been an experience of a lifetime, and I cannot thank him enough for his time and effort. He is an absolute MUST if you're looking to learn to produce, hands down.

I had the pleasure of working with Chris as an intern with Burn The Fire Records while I attended Icon Collective Music School. He is very knowledgeable in both Ableton and Audio Engineering. As a student I had trouble mixing the tracks I would try to create. He helped me understand the basics of both mixing and mastering and my mixes improved dramatically over the course of the internship. I highly recommend Chris to anyone looking to learn Ableton or Audio Engineering. Chris is also very knowledgeable about the music industry and can help you get your music heard as he has many connections in the industry.

What Are the Best Violin Brands for Beginners?
When you’re first starting to look for a violin brand, it's important to find a compromise between affordability and good quality.
