I teach students of all ages and skill levels from early beginners to experienced piano players who want to bring their performance to a higher level. Ms. Ruth is fantastic teacher. My 7 year old daughter is learning Piano from her since last one year and we are so happy to see her progressing constantly well. She makes sure that my daughter understands her music (notes) well and she is clear on her concepts.

My 8 year old son has been taking piano lessons from Ruth for about 6 month now. She is wonderful with him. They do as much giggling as they do playing the piano but he is learning so much! My son will likely never be a spectacular pianist but he will learn to love music and playing for his own enjoyment from Ruth. She is giving him a tremendous gift that could last the rest of his life.

Dayle is a great teacher! She is very patient with my daughter who takes saxophone lessons, and works at a great pace. My daughter sees how much she has improved since starting private lessons with Dayle, and this makes her more confident in her playing ability. The lessons are also fun, but she learns a lot as well. I am very happy we found Dayle!

Michael M. Pennington, NJ

About Michael

Born and raised in New Jersey, I have been involved with music for many years. The instruments that I play include Trumpet, French Horn, Handbells, Organ, Voice, and Piano. I received my formal education at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, which is where I earned a B.A. degree with Honors in Music. In order to obtain my Honors, I chose to develop elementary lessons on Chinese folk music. In my Junior year of college, I performed a dual media recital in both Voice and Piano, and for my Senior year recital, I focused on giving a Vocal performance. These recitals demonstrated the musical talent and techniques that I had developed throughout my experience at college. In addition to my musical experiences in college, I have also learned about various pedagogical approaches through both

My daughter and I have started taking piano lessons about 3 months back and we are happy to say that our experience learning with Mike has been excellent. He has so much experience which he is able to use to help out novices like us who are just starting to learn. His patience and good humor is what we need the most at this stage. He helps us relax and encourages us to try again and again until we get the hang of it. He sets the pace according to our pace of learning and this helps us stay positive and motivated.

We recommend Mike to all prospective students. I am sure everyone would benefit from lessons with him. We are sure to learn from him for a long time to come if we manage not to overcome his patience.

I've been taking piano lessons with Mike for 2 years. He introduced me to new types of music and was always looking for pieces he thought I would enjoy. I learned a great deal of technique and skills as well as music theory to help me in my musical future. I appreciate all the time you spent with me. Thank you for the past two years.

Alexandra P. Princeton, NJ

About Alexandra

I am interested in teaching private lessons to each individual student - taking into account your goals, strengths, weaknesses, and background. I will never teach by a method that does not account for the unique qualities of each student. I use what I have learned through many years of musical study to teach you in the most efficient and beneficial way, based on YOUR needs. As a voice student, I will ask you about your taste in music, what your goals are as a singer, and encourage you to suggest repertoire you'd like to learn. In addition, I will do an assessment of your entire voice - from posture and breathing to articulation and expression - and introduce repertoire that will help you become a better singer. I am comfortable teaching pieces written in English, Latin, French, ...

great teacher

I've never taken voice lessons before, so I didn't know what to expect. But Allie is great, very likeable. She really takes your preferences into considerations. We do breathing exercises, vocal warmups, and work on several songs at a time. I love the range of songs Allie has me work on: an Italian classical piece, a French pop song, a Broadway piece, a jazz piece, etc.

Bob H. Bridgewater, NJ

About Bob

Here's a little about my guitar career.... I'm a studio session guitarist and also do shows and concerts. Was lucky enough to have won a few guitar contests including Guitar Player International's "Ultimate Guitar Competition" for acoustic guitar. Won a bunch of awards for producing as well. I've performed and recorded with 1000's of Artists.. some not so famous and some very famous like Johnny Cash, David Grisman, Travis Tritt (long list). I've been signed and produced for Major Record Labels including Atlantic, Universal, Mercury, Sony, and more. To let you know, when I was a kid I was kicked out of music lessons by a few teachers that said I would never amount to anything. I had trouble reading notes (still do) and wanted to do my own thing. Instead of traditional lessons, ...
