Recording lessons focus on work in ProTools, Reason, and supporting music production software. The process of setting up equipment and running the audio for shows is taught and reviewed. In addition, listening and audio analysis are a main focus as well as the technology involved in the recording industry.
I have always been fascinated with how music is created and who works behind the scenes of performances and recordings. I started playing the flute in elementary school, piano in junior high school, and singing in high school. Once I got to UMASS, Dartmouth I chose the Music option for my major. I

Hi, I'm Laura and I believe everyone has a unique and authentic voice that deserves to be uncovered. Whether you have stage aspirations or are simply interested in learning more about singing, voice lessons can be a great way to build confidence and grow in your sense of self. We'll work together to develop a language and tool box that will enable you to reach your fullest potential as a singer.
Hi, I’m Laura, and I want to tell you right now, you CAN sing and you SHOULD sing. From birth until death, the voice is our primary vehicle for expression. When you take a voice lesson, you are learning more than just good vocal technique (though that’s important). You’re learning about yourself an

Students who study with me can expect for their lessons to be top-quality, personalized, and above all, extremely fun sessions that will cater to the students musical backgrounds, interests, and needs. I create extremely organized and specifically focused lessons so that students feel comfortable, not pressured, while learning their craft. The lessons I teach are a combination of developmental sight reading music, learning student chosen songs (depending on ability), inspiring and encouraging creative abilities, warm-up and strengthening exercises, proper technique, listening for internal hearing, composition dynamics, scales, fingerings, chords, and overall really how to get a great sound and feel from your guitar.
After 3 months of lessons together, students will have started learning several key elements to becoming an outstanding guitar player. They will have learned proper form and technique, warm-up/skill-building exercises, to read basic notation, and several scales. ...

Suzuki. The name of this method conjures up a single brand of training, but, in fact, there are as many takes on Suzuki as there are teachers! I've been teaching with the Suzuki Method for over 30 years, and much of my knowledge has come from being one of the first generation Suzuki students in this country. My father, who was my first teacher, studied directly with Dr. Suzuki at Peabody School of Music in Maryland when Suzuki first introduced his philosophies to the US. My teaching reflects what I feel works best, and what doesn't translate from the strictest interpretations of the Suzuki Method.
I've been in and around music all my life. I started violin at age 5, part of the first generation of Suzuki violinists in the United States. I've loved being a professional violinist and violin teacher for over 30 years! And I've also founded and directed three community music schools in Newburyp

Number one is we always have fun, though we do a lot of hard work too! Lessons are split between technical/theoretical music study, and live performance practice. Emphasis is on gaining skills in coordination and dexterity, understanding the theory behind compositions, and finding individual expression with each piece. Technique exercises follow the Dozen A Day series; Lessons, Sight-Reading, and Theory from Faber & Faber; skills are applied to a performance song of the students' choosing. Students generally select a song at their level in either Classical, Jazz or Contemporary style. All students are required to practice at least 5 mins a day, every day. Each performance piece is later performed live in concert.

As a music teacher I have a great love and passion for music theory. I feel like it is such an important part of learning any musical instrument that so many students seem to struggle with. I like to take a fun but structured approach to learning music theory. I work with each individual student to help them develop personal goals to work towards whether that is working through a theory book, preparing for a theory exam, polishing their ear training or even just strengthening what they already know. I hope to help you take your music theory knowledge to the next level!

Looking for baritone audition songs? You've come to the right place. One of the most difficult aspects of an audition is selecting the right song to sing. When considering your audition song, you need to think about whether the tune shows off your voice without forcing you to sing notes you can't reach, whether it conveys the right emotions for the part you're auditioning for, and whether it will help you stand out from the competition. Here are just a few ideas to get you started... Bariton …
