When Jessica was 19, she moved to Philadelphia to study animation after receiving a par
tial scholarship to the Art Institute of Philadelphia, and relocated to NYC shortly after graduating.

*** Lesson Details *** Jessica brings a lot of fun to her lessons. She is like a cool aunt or a big sister who likes to have a good time but who also wants to teach you to play guitar or ukulele and sing, hopefully at the same time. Jessica's laid back style and attention to your needs as a student will help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. Together, you will go as fast or as slow as is comfortable for you. Jessica works with classic rock, pop, folk and all your favorite songs as your step ladder for learning. Jessica also can help you develop your own musical style and teach you to write YOUR OWN SONGS from beginning to end, if that is of interest to you.
*** Studio Equipment *** amp, microphone, keyboard, guitar, ukulele, music stands

Jessica is a virtuoso on the ukulele. She has the patience of a saint with less than adept students. Yet she is insistent, in a gentle way, about instilling correct form in her students' approach to the uke. In addition, she is a walking encyclopedia of songs that span the range from traditional to standards to current day favorites, and from country to r&B to rock and roll.

I am so fortunate to have found Jessica to teach the Ukulele. She is sweet, kind and truly a pleasure. very unassuming yet so focused on my particular needs when I lose my way. I strongly recommend her. I am so fortunate. Wait, did I say that already? Thank you Jessica.

As a voice teacher, I want to help my students settle comfortably into their own musicality by showing them the building blocks of a solid technique, drawing particularly from the things that helped me grow as a vocalist. I want my students to feel strong in their body, comfortable and relaxed in their breath, and confident in their performance.
I am a professional vocalist in NYC. I perform liturgical and classical music, as well as musical theater repertoire. Jillian is great! I like how she has personalized the lesson and I’ve seen my son learn a lot in a little bit of time.
MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY My approach is compassionate, nurturing, and collaborative. My teaching style is structured but leaves room for fun. I believe that a student new to their instrument will thrive when they: - have a parent involved in their practice in-between lessons (parents observing the lesson is highly recommended) - have fun while learning proper technique to avoid harmful habits down the road - choose songs that are interesting to them while the teacher picks songs that will help them grow - are given foundational tools and approaches to further lifelong learning as they get older

Hello! I'm Madeline, and I'm a vocal instructor, beginner-piano teacher, and music theory tutor. I've been a tutor since Fall 2014, and teaching private voice lessons since January 2015. I love introducing students to new repertoire, showing them a different way of looking at concepts, and helping students realize how smart and talented they are. I want my students to feel prepared for where their love of music takes them, and we are absolutely going to have fun while learning. I'm excited that you are interested in learning, too, and I cannot wait to hear from you.
Madeline is great! The lessons are easy going and fun. She's a great teacher. I learn something new and leave with something to work on with each lesson. Highly recommended!

Madeline is always so welcoming and encouraging to our 16 year old daughter.
She is flexible, too, and has been willing to work with our schedule this summer in order to help as much as possible. We also appreciate her willingness to do lessons both in person and online. Our daughter has learned so much and her singing confidence has grown already. We are so grateful!
Whether you have had many voice lessons or you are wanting to try lessons for the first time I am excited to help you find your best voice in a healthy and fun way!
My name is Mary Elizabeth and I am a professional musical theater actress and voice teacher living in New York City. I am an honor graduate of Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater. I have toured the United States and performed with professional theaters around the country. Some of my favorite roles include Luisa in The Fantasticks, Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Cosette in Les Miserables, and Cinderella in Into the Woods.
My private lessons include all styles of music and vocal technique that protect and strengthen the voice. Students will also learn some basic music theory th
at will make learning new music much easier. Along with voice technique I help my students to express their interpretation of the music, especially in musical theater repertoire. I teach students 8 and up and have a lot of experience working with kids. No matter what your goal is the most important thing is that you are eager to learn and enjoy the process!
As someone who is currently auditioning and performing in the business I want to pass the knowledge I have gained to others. I have done "endless" auditions in my life and I love to help others prepare for auditions.
I teach online lessons and in New York City at a studio in Midtown. Please reach out if you have any questions all. I look forward to working with you!
My name is Yoana Hilt and music is my passion. I've been playing since I was 12 years old and truly believe that a life filled with music is a life most enriched. My specialty is flute instruction. Nothing else on earth sounds as good or comes as close to the inspiring tones and uplifting melodies that can be played on it. I hope to instill the love and passion that I have for the flute into my students, help them learn how to improvise with it, and go out into the world and perform with their talents. Let's connect soon!
What a delight it is to have Yoana as a music teacher for both of my children. She has the perfect blend of skill training and musical passion that she passes on to them. They not only are learning how to master the songs with excellent technique, but more importantly, she teaches them how to truly feel and understand the music. She adds in fun and even a little competition (to make tracking practice hours more like a game) and is always smiling and full of joy which makes them look forward to lessons. As a parent, I have full confidence that she is giving her whole heart to my children throughout their weekly sessions. I love how much she pushes and stretches them, all while loving and encouraging them at the same time. We look forward to many more years learning from her.

Yoana is so patient with our family and takes the time to notice individual strengths of my children. She takes into account each student's interests and guides and coaches them toward goals they are invested in. She uses a curricula that is classic and gets beautiful results! Yoana is such an amazing cheerleader for her students and her kindness and joy in supporting them is contagious. With her encouragement and strong teaching skill, students are confident and equipped to play music they love.

Yoana has a wonderful gift for teaching flute and inspiring enthusiasm in her students. My daughter loves learning from her and enjoys her lessons immensely.
I am a composer, educator, and saxophonist looking to help students of all ages and backgrounds understand music as deeply as possible. I firmly believe that ear training and practical theory that helps students gain an understanding of a wide variety of music will help them appreciate and love music more deeply--it's like listening in full color!
I believe that all music has the potential to be great, and I want to help aspiring musicians and composers learn to be the best artists they can be. I am an experienced teacher and composer who teaches music theory and composition at The Community Music Center of Boston and holds a master's degree from Boston University, where I studied with esteemed composer Joshua Fineberg. I am also an experienced saxophonist who studied under Idit Shner at the University of Oregon.
I relish the opportunit
y to teach music to students of all skill levels with a focus on any style a student wishes, but don't think that means you'r education will be limited! I believe eclecticism is one of the finest virtues a musician can have, and there's something valuable every genre has to teach us.
"Mihai is a great teacher, my son wasn't interested in taking music or piano lessons, but he ended up loving Mihai lessons and learned a lot of piano compo

"Great first lesson with my 12 year old son. We're excited to continue working with Edward."
"After 4 lessons she is learning important details of time measurement in the rhythm that she had not been taught before. Beginning a new challenging song

"Ms. Rina is by far the best teacher I've ever had. She's very genuine in her work and very kind. She has a deep knowledge of music and she play's the pian

"Wes has taught me the basics of piano and kept it super practical for me at the same time. Really enjoying it!"
"She was very encouraging and helpful. She taught me how to make my voice stronger and gave me constructive criticisms as needed. She was very nice and alw

"I’m an intermediate singer,24. Dan is such a great vocal coach! Very comfortable to be around. He is very knowledgeable in what he does and knows how to t
ake your voice to the next level! I’ve been with him for a few months and have learned so much about my voice and have become an even better singer. He truely does tailor to each individual’s voice and I’m so happy that I chose him! Five stars!"
"What a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher! My daughter has had fiddle lessons for 2 years in person, and to finally cut down on our two-hour commute I sug
gested on-line lessons. The computer had a few connection issues on our end that we will definitely iron out before our next session. Lucky for us, Kathleen worked patiently through the connectivity bumps and gave a very upbeat, challenging lesson with all the backup sheet music, recording, and plenty of thumbs up to keep my daughter motivated and practising. We are very happy we "found" Kathleen and highly recommend her as an instructor!!"
"I had a great first lesson. She made me feel comfortable. I look forward to my upcoming sessions."
For some people, it's a big step to sign up for voice lessons. We know the thought can seem a little scary - particularly if you're not used to singing in front of others, let alone a trained, professional vocalist! But don't worry: your teacher isn't there to judge or intimidate you.
Perhaps you're wondering what you can really expect at your first voice lesson. How should you prepare? Here's a look into a typical lesson experience from Kathryn M., one of our newest teachers in Fairb …
