I offer my students 3 recitals a year in some very nice halls around New York, where they would get a chance to perform their music in front of an audience of friends and family.
Performing is a great way to see as a student what you do well and what you can improve in. Each performance gains a level of experience that can not be gain by just playing for yourself. Through this experience you will learn what it takes to get better as a musician.

About Brooke
If there's one thing I've learned from getting through state auditions, college exams, and four years of music school it's this: if you're not having fun with music, something needs to change! I truly believe making music is one of the last innocent forms of art we have, and something that can m

I am a flute player based in Boston. I have been playing for 10 years and teaching for 5 years now and am absolutely delighted to work with students, but more importantly, to see that they are having fun and growing in the process. My lessons will cater to each student's individual needs, while working on the fundamentals of flute playing and playing a wide range of pieces.

Book NowI have over twenty years of professional performance experience. I have performed around the world as an orchestral musician, soloist, and chamber musician. A graduate of a top music conservatory with multiple degrees, I have most recently played with the New York Philharmonic for the past 6 years.
I have had success teaching young beginners, as a Suzuki trained teacher, high school students preparing for college or orchestral auditions, as well as adults revisiting their passion for music.

I’ve been playing guitar on and off for 10+ years and was really stuck because I didn’t know the first thing about music theory (especially as it related to guitar). I’ve been taking lessons with Andrew for 6+ months and it’s been a great investment. Ear training is so important with guitar and Andrew has brought me to a point where I can pick up notes from songs without needing tabs. We’ve covered everything from music theory (keys, chord theory, major/minor scales, root notes, octave shapes) to blues. I can now confidently play songs from Hendrix & Stevie Ray Vaughan and licks from John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr.
I remember our first lesson I asked him, “ So how long do you think it will take for me to be able to solo along with a track?”
“How about today?” -Andrew
My son has been learning the guitar for a couple of years with Andrew and I couldn’t be happier with his progress. His connection with Andrew was instant and he is always excited to learn more from him.

Having a student like me, who's schedule is constantly shifting last minute, is no easy feat, but Mike manages it flawlessly.
As a beginner cello student but with some musical background, Michael has been great at adjusting lessons to my particular needs and helping me get on my way to being a better musician.
He's always incredibly patient - which with an easily distracted student as myself - is beyond commendable. He's easy going and professional in his teaching, and I would recommend him to any aspiring cellists, whatever their age or level."
