I'm a violinist of 17 years and I'm a graduate of the Crane School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. At Crane I studied the principles of Suzuki Teaching and took the "Every Child Can" course.
I believe in providing a nurturing, welcoming, and warm atmosphere in which to foster students on their musical journey!
I started violin at the age of seven after being inspired by concerts my parents took me to when I was younger.

If your a total beginner... I'm gonna suggest you check out my bass page. Bass is fun. I promise, I wouldn't play it if it wasn't.

Really, Like right now.

No?

Well if your still here, alright. Let's get crackin' on the 6 string. If you read my bio, you see I talk about the "waves" of music. We gotta learn how to surf the waves and stick with a band. The flashy solos will come in time, but just like real surfing, you gotta learn to ride the waves created by the bass and drums before you can start doing tricks on it. Once you have a grasp on meter (the pulse of the waves) we can start talking about some music theory and how the flashy solos can be built upon those waves.

Gonna mention the bass page again. They create the waves... its a lot easier to play in the waves when you know how to make them.

If you are so dedicated to rockin the 6-string that your reading this, then read no further. Message me and tell me what it is you want to play, and we will jump right in.

Aside from being proficient at a craft, a good teacher needs the skill of communication. Being the best physicist in the world doesn't make you the best physics teacher. Knowing how to do something and knowing how to make other people understand it are two very different skills. Lets be honest,

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dan. He was even better than I expected! He is very personable and my son really enjoyed working with him. He worked hard to help meet my son’s goals and continuously kept me informed about my son’s progress.

Dan shared his own experiences with my son to help build his confidence. My son felt much more confident and prepared for his audition thanks to Dan. We are looking forward to continuing lessons with Dan. I highly recommend him!

My 9-year old daughter needed a help with musical audition prep in last minute. Since we moved to another location, Brad was recommended by one of the CYT teachers we new at the previous location. As soon as Brad started the lesson, he knew exactly what was needed to be casted in a show. We only had two lessons before the audition, but his key point lessons were good enough to get a roll in the show for my daughter. We will definitely seek for Brad for next audition prep.

"Great Patient Teacher!

Jason is great! I am in my late 30's with a busy family, and Jason is willing to work around my schedule. I don't have much time to practice, but he is very patient. He molds a lesson to my ability to learn, and gives me assignments to work on based on where I'm at with my experience. He is prompt and follows up with your questions quickly and always willing to help. He explains lessons in detail, and provides positive evaluation. I would highly recommend Jason to be your Guitar teacher!"

"I was looking for advanced guitar lessons and came across Ahmad purely by chance. I wanted to get a better grasp of theory and self study wasn't cutting it, mainly because I wasn't disciplined enough and figured paying someone to teach me would make me study harder.

Ahmad got amazing skill and patience. I would often go in early and listen to him teach students new to guitar and be amazed at how well he was able to get them to understand the concepts behind what they were trying to do. Ahmad certainly helped me out.

A year later, I'm playing better than I had been before. I've got a much stronger grasp of music theory, it's helped me with my song writing and I'm happy with the direction I'm going.

Do go to Ahmad if you're looking to get better and learn quickly. Even the 30 minute classes are very helpful. You won't regret it."
