I sing in international houses as an opera singer, and I would love to pass on everything that I have learned over my twenty years of singing onstage. I specialize in classical voice, but good singing technique is universal, and I would be very happy to assist you at any level, from the very beginner to the very advanced. My core vocal principals are breath, alignment, placement, and last but definitely not least, joy and love of music. I am also a pianist, and I can assist you with piano or music theory/ learning skills.

My mission is to help students reach their fullest potential as singers and to build their confidence in the process. Lessons focus on each student as an individual and can encompass anything from vocal technique and song repertoire to audition coaching and even recording sessions to help the students with a project or to help them simply hear the subtleties in their voice more clearly as they train and grow.

*I teach breath support in a way most teachers do not. I help students gain strong abdominal muscles and teach them how to use them to sing with more power and control. Rather than releasing the belly (as most teachers recommend) I show students how to breathe into their backs and use all three lobes of the lungs (upper, middle, lower). I'm passionate about the arts and love to teach! I have over 19 years of performing arts experience, and 6 years of teaching experience (K-8th grade music, as well as dance and musical theatre camps for kids in my community). I received my Bachelor's degree in 2013, studying Theatre, Music, and Art.

What makes vocal lessons with me unique is that I have a background in theatre and dance as well. I am loving, creative, and meticulous. As a teacher, I will tailor my lessons around you, at your own level and pace, and will do my best to meet your individual needs as a student and performer. After learning what your goals are and what your vocal range and current skill level is--I will provide some musical repertoire for you to prepare and perform. You are also welcome to bring music that you'd like to learn. I can help you find your unique sound and convey emotion in your voice. And I offer an Audition Prep course as well!
