I do a variety of styles in music for the violin. I use whatever method (book or teaching style) is needed to teach what the student needs to learn.

About Chris

I have been teaching private violin for over 20 years, and private viola/cello for about 10. I have taught in Charles and St. Mary's County Public schools. Ms Chris was great my daughter really enjoyed her first lesson. Ms Chris was easy to work with and made my daughter comfortable that she felt free to ask questions and make mistakes without worry. My daughter is looking forward to the next lesson.

If you’re looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and patient strings teacher, you will love Mrs. Heins. Both of my sons have been taking lessons from Mrs. Heins for several years (one for viola and one for cello). They have learned so much under her instruction, such as earning All-County and All-State honors. They also practice their live performance skills twice a year during informal musical concerts. Mrs. Heins also offers participation in the Royal Conservatory Music Development program, which can earn your child credit for college. She is a gem and should you choose her, you won’t be disappointed.

Having graduated from UCLA in Music, I have performed in several operas and have sung with professional choirs. I believe that singing should be easy and be used in a means to express your emotions and to share your story.

About Sarabeth

Hello fellow singers! My goal is to help you refine your own unique instrument and help you to express a story and art through the voice! I grew up taking piano lessons and singing in my church and school choir. I always had a love for all classical music and soon enough fell in love with opera!

Piano lessons are a joy to teach! Let me inspire you. Within the first few lessons, you'll know terminology and piano basics such as rhythm and body placement, and as time goes on you'll be able to play classics, standards and more. I typically use method books combined with traditional repertoire.

I am about retired and decided to take piano lesson as a hobby last year. I knew nothing about playing piano and music theory. I was lucky to find Doniell as my piano teacher. She is very patient with me for not knowing anything and explains everything I need to know for that day’s lesson. She is also very flexible to work with me with my work and trip schedules. I have been with her for one year and take half hour lesson each week except when I was out of town, now I am able to play many songs and very happy with my good progress. I definitely recommended her to anyone who is interested in learning piano lessons. You will get satisfactions.

It was Auroras first lesson, she absolutely loved it

Our daughter is taking lessons with Doniell and after every lesson is thrilled to share her experiences. Doniell has been exceedingly accomodating of our schedule, making it absolutely pleasant to work with her. We are a homeschool family and she offered time outside of evening hours. We had several illnesses and issues with travel during the snow this past winter and she has always been understanding and patient with rescheduling. Our daughter is very enthusiastic about piano and many things in life, we are thankful we have Doniell to guide her as she continues to develop a passion for music.

"Fantastic teacher! No regrets.

My almost 15 year old son, Braden has been taking weekly lessons from Jordan since the beginning of this school year and has learned so much in these few short months! He came to Jordan knowing how to read music and with 3 years of middle school band (trumpet) experience but knowing nothing about how to play guitar. He spends 30 minutes a week with Jordan. In that 30 minutes weekly, Jordan has taught him how to not only play the instrument but also how to do so for the specific purpose Braden is wanting to learn it - leading worship in youth group and someday maybe "big church". Jordan is very good at not only teaching but he always encourages Braden and gives him positive feedback and affirmation. However, at the same time, when he sees that Braden hasn't quite picked up on something or needs some tweaking or correcting, he doesn't hesitate to kindly do so.

We have a very complicated family schedule. Braden plays baseball, is in choir at school, and we are very involved in church as well as other family things. Jordan has been very flexible with us when we have had to occasionally move our lesson at times for various reasons. Very professional.

NOTE: Jordan truly has been a God-send. Braden loves playing guitar and all that Jordan has taught him. However, as awesome as Jordan is, he is NOT a miracle worker. Braden puts in a lot of time on his own practicing all that he learns during his lessons. You must be willing and committed to doing your "homework" in order to get the most out of your time with Jordan.

And most importantly, Braden would say, "He's cool." ;)"

"I was honestly speechless during my first lesson! Daniel G is the person I have been looking for in a long time. Daniel G is a great teacher! He has such a powerful and controlled voice and what a great personable guy! I just recorded a song tonight and I can already hear and feel a difference. After my voice changed, I kept getting frustrated trying to find the right teacher. I actually think I learned and improved more from my first lesson with Daniel than weeks with others. I'm almost hesitant to write this review in fear Daniel will have less time with me. 8-)"

"Jonathan is a great guitar teacher, he's very knowledgeable and does a good job of helping you understand the guitar. A great aspect of Jonathan's guitar lessons is that he shows you how to apply technical information (chords, scales, arpeggios, triads, etc.) to actual music.

Book your next guitar lesson with Jonathan, you will be glad you did!"

"Peter is simply amazing. Not only is he a genius composer/piano player/lyricist/singer/songwriter, but his ability to teach is simply out of this world. He is kind and sensitive, very willing to go slow and make sure the concepts are really understood. He is also fun and makes learning feel easy. I always look forward to my lessons and I always leave wishing I had more time.

I was a scared singer but Peter has really helped me overcome that fear and feel comfortable with my own voice. He is encouraging and very supportive. I would recommend Peter to anyone, seriously ANYONE. He is great with children of all ages, adults, and even seniors.

I would take the opportunity to work with Peter NOW before he becomes too famous, because I am absolutely sure he will in the very immediate future."
