Learning to play your instrument at the highest level will make it easier for anyone to play any kind of music they may like. Don't waste time learning to play tunes on sax, but spend time learning to play sax on any tunes. Seems like a smarter way to go to me. I'm all about learning to play as fast and efficiently as possible. However practice and playing time is a must.

Takes the same amount of time to learn to play sax now as it did 175 years ago!

About Kevin

35 yrs of teaching sax and clarinet students Many of my students have participated in Honor Band and All State Band events year after year. I am very comfortable with total beginners, advancing players, and aspiring pros. I currently have students from 9 to 80+ I tailor student lessons to the need

Chris grew up hearing his dad play guitar around the house and at live shows. He “caught the bug” around age 13 and hasn’t stopped playing since! He’s been teaching guitar since 2003 and received his Bachelor of Arts in Music at North Central University in 2008 where he studied jazz, blues, rock, classical, songwriting, and church music. He’s taught about two dozen lessons a week for the better part of 10 years; from age 8 to retiree, beginner to advanced, hobbyist to college-prep or gig-ready. He specializes in blues, rock, improvisation, ‚Äčand songwriting. What he loves most about teaching is being able to pass on everything he has learned and continues to learn in his 20+ years as a musician, helping students take step after step to achieve their musical goals. As an active musician, Chris has been the lead singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist for a local rock band and has performed/recorded as the lead guitarist for a number of other bands/artists. He currently plays lead guitar for ...

My 15 year-old son started guitar this summer. He has truly enjoyed working with Chris. Chris is patient and encouraging, as well as being a cool guy that my son looks up to.
Helen
My 13-years old son was reluctant to take music lessons. He had not liked piano (with a different instructor) when he was younger, but agreed to try guitar. Since the first trial lesson, he has been excited to learn more!

Chris is a fun teacher who knows his stuff and who communicates well with both his students and their parents. I have three kids and have found it’s difficult to find a teacher who is responsive to parents + engaging with youth + gifted at music.

His rates are very reasonable for our area. His in-home lesson space is professional and comfortable — I get to sit on a comfy couch and get work done during my son’s weekly lesson. In addition, Chris goes above and beyond to make sure the lessons are meeting our expectations. He tracked down strings for us when we accidentally broke one. He has rescheduled lessons due to our busy schedules. He is genuinely kind and such a pleasure to work with — we couldn’t be more thrilled!
Brian
Our kids have loved working with Chris. He picks songs they're excited to play, teaches them patiently, and has a lot of fun with them. They've made a ton of progress since they started with Chris, and they're always excited to see him!

Our lessons will be both encouraging and productive, but most importantly, will foster a love and understanding of music. Curriculum is individualized based on the student’s musical interests. Students will learn songs they love to play while also developing proper technique and important musical skills like sight-reading, a solid understanding of rhythm, music theory, and ear training. We will work together to help you achieve your goals and gain a well-rounded music education, regardless of age or musical background.

About Summer

I believe that the most important aspect of teaching music is creating a positive and individualized learning environment while simultaneously teaching the necessary technique and knowledge to play your instrument both successfully and confidently.   Above all, our lessons will focus on reaching

I've taught hundreds of lessons, over the past ten years. I have written, recorded, and produced my own songs, performed solo, and with bands. I have over 35 videos, and many of them are tutorials. I am sure I can teach and inspire you. Would you like to learn how to read music, or simply play your favorite songs? Or, perhaps you'd like to understand music better in general. Of course I can teach you scales, music theory, songwriting, and improvisation.

About Justin

I have played publicly in bands and as a solo act. I have written, produced, and recorded my own music. Otherwise, I have taught over a hundred lessons in my teaching career. You will be satisfied with me as your teacher.

"Eric is an excellent voice coach. He can hear the tiniest fluctuations in your voice and knows exactly what is going on and will help you achieve correct placement to produce the sound you want. Working with him has made singing way less stressful for me and he is really encouraging. I’ve only had a handful of lessons and I’m already hearing major improvements in my range and singing all my favorite songs has become easier as well. He really is a godsend."

"Joao is a patient and warm teacher who adapts his approach based on the student. When he began with my daughter, she didn't know how to hold a guitar and was adamantly opposed to the idea of a public recital. Joao built up her skills and her confidence by taking a real interest in her as a person. Lessons were fun, and also productive, and she was playing guitar and singing at large recitals in no time.

Joao also taught my son to play the piano. By teaching the melodies to familiar songs and keeping the lessons fun, my son also also discovered a love of musicianship thanks to Joao. Joao is multi-talented as a musician and gifted as a teacher, and we were lucky to have him teach our children for years."
